Tales from the Eastern Front is the lore for the Artemis: Eastern Front group. A group of online players that meet Tuesday nights, 8pm Eastern Standard Time. We are noob friendly and are willing to teach the game. The group consists of online RP'ers from the TSN, USN, Pirates, and new players alike.

Story Lore by Pirate Lore Eric Wethington

A silent satellite…….. a garbled message into Earth Alliance HQ…….. a cry for help

In Earth Alliance HQ the discussion happens.

Rear Admiral Thom Robertson "What's in that sector of space?"

Director of External Affairs Michae lSubstanley, after a few seconds scouring over the holo-map "Looks like our old fleet graveyard before the First Terran War, mining colonies and a few tech stations. Hmmmm …. that's interesting…."

Thom "Well, man … Spit it out!"

Mike "Looks like after the TSN 4th division cleaned out the Euphini Expanse of pirates, There are rumors that the Pirate Lord Wethington relocated to this sector… just rumors though….."

Thom "Well, we should send someone to investigate, at least. What units do we have available?"

Mike, changing the holo-map to fleet status reports "Not much, After the push during the Summer War, most of the 1-4th divisions are tied up mopping up the front or returned for repairs, we did take some heavy losses in that conflict, we don't have much left"

Thom "What about the ships in the graveyard? are the functional?"

Mike "most were scheduled to be either scrapped or retrofitted, but the invasion and the Euphini excursions put that on the back burner"

Thom " So we just need crews? Sounds like a project for the senior class at the academy… Send the Senior and Junior classes, along with their instructors and promote Headmaster Djeak Dranoel to acting fleet admiral. with orders to retrofit or scrap the graveyard as he sees fit, and with any ships he can muster investigate the resin for the distress signal.

<< Report 2>>

Acting Fleet Admiral of the 5th Reserve Recon Fleet Dranoel stands watch on the main viewport of venerable dreadnaught "Hermacles IV" as he looks out at the repair teams inspecting, tearing apart, salvaging and retrofitting the ships of the Sho Shu Shen graveyard.

Dranoel "How many ships are ready, Capt Parra?"

Capt Adam Parra, lead captain of the recon forces standing nearby looking over repair data on the screen. "Looks like 8 ships ready, mostly light cruisers, but we do have the Battleship "Tenacious" and Missle Crusier "Malachi" retrofits almost complete, a few others may take some time"

Dranoel "Take the Tenacious, and pick your crews and get them ready, go check out the missing beacon in Sector Bravo-Bravo 4-1. Hopefully it just got hit with some debris from the nearby asteroid field and a minor repair gets it going. If not redeploy a new satellite and perform a sweep of the sector. Return back and report."

Parra "Aye, I'll leave in 6 hours."

Dranoel "I'll keep the Malachi on reserve and oversee repairs on the others. If you get in trouble, I'll send Captain Nathan Davis and what ever other ships are ready to assist. This is scout mission, do NOT engage, we do not have the forces. If you encounter Pirates, then fall back, they are more organized then they seem.

Parra " Aye"

<< Report 3 - final report >>

CAPT! Veris II Sonnar contact! multiple contacts!…." the ensigns voice wavered slightly and drifted off

"Damn!" Capt Perra silently muttered. This is a good crew and a fine ship I couldn't have asked for a better crew. Even though they were fresh recruits……

This was the third wave…… The first wave ambushed them right as the approached the communications probe. Simple Kralians, must have wandered away from the homeland, easy enough. Nevermind the Rear Admirals orders to not engage, a simple fleet or two of cruisers was no match for the 8 ship recon fleet. They were easily dispatched enough to get the crew excited a simple "Whitewash" maneuver and EMP their shields then let the gunners have target practice. But, never forget, the Kralians might not be smart, but the are not dumb either. They had brought friends…..

The second wave slammed into the fleet almost with no warning. Skarans, with cloaking and jumping. They took out the Light Cruisers "Moth" and "Llambda" before we knew what hit us. Our 2 scouts jumped into the fray and held their ground while we regrouped behind the asteroid field. Both are now derelict. God rest those souls. We pushed them back but we were bleeding. Sent out distress call over an hour ago… still no response… maybe signal is jammed.

"We HOLD them HERE!!" bellowed Parra. Getting a few glances from the cadets, they knew this was a final stand, and they stood their stations. Makes a Captain proud.

The Skarans were back, and they brought more friends to the party. Looks like they were coming in on a pincer maneuver, trying to squeeze us between them and 3 heavy carrier fleets of Arvonians and if that wasn't bad enough those damn Kralian cruisers…. easy enough to kill, but when they come at you 20-30 at a time it's rough

We had our ship, the Battleship, now bloodied by battle, repair teams trying to get the sensors back online. 2 of our cruisers were ok, minor damage, the other 2 cruisers were hanging on by a bulkhead. We could use the reserve fleet, but they don't know we are in trouble. If we don't stop them here….

"CAPT ! More sonnar contacts! coming in fast! Oh My!" this time the commas officers voice squeaked…

"Visual!" barked Parra

over 15 ships came into view on an intercept course. There were no markings, no id call signs, and their shields were up and their weapons were hot….

"Looks like you guys need some help?" a bold voice came over the comms station.

"who the HELL are YOU?" yelled Parra over the comms channel

"Pirate Lord Wethington, at your service, along with some rag-tag merchant ships retrofitted….So you need some help or not?"

Parra smiled "why, yes, I would be obliged to let you assist, and you can have any plunder from those ship you find….. and the rum will be on me"

"You heard him boys! Rack 'em and stack 'em" the Pirate Lord hollered as the reinforcements moved into a support position

Just how they got 2 dreadnoughts, 2 Missle cruisers and a Battleship in to this sector without Terran Investigative Services knowing, I'll never know and they are not telling….

Here privateers, military naval vessels and those just trying to survive join forces in a desperate last stand! Here, you will find the grizzled veteran and the rawest of recruit working together for the common good. Here, on the Eastern Front!"
