This is a private online campaign I am running, so far we have one one ship on play, every 1-3 weeks:

Humanity has spread to the stars. Inhabited planets are few and precious, but a vast network of jump gates connects isolated sectors of space to each other, and billions of humans live on space stations, asteroids and generation ships.

Humanity has been in war with the alien race Kraliens for as long as anyone remembers, and relations with other alien races have been strained at best. The wars devastated the human race. The once united and prosperous Terran Alliance has splintered. In the course of the war, many jump gates lost power, were damaged, or outright destroyed. Humans often live in isolation from each other, and sometimes even fight each other.

But now the war is going well: the Kralien homeworld has been located and is under siege. In an effort to strengthen humanity, Terran Stellar Navy is sending patrols to distant regions of space, to re-open gates, scout areas, ward of wandering Kraliens, guide settlers to new locations, and bring remaining humans back to the common fold.

These are the adventures of Terran Recovery Force Artemis, on its mission to scout, map, and defend the Nyangami Arm, a stretch of space isolated from the rest of the humanity for hundreds of years.

S1E1: Hello, captain, and welcome to space

Artemis jumped into Sinai sector in order to start a standard recovery operation of the Nyangami Arm. Immediately on arrival, they were met with an unexpectedly heavy Kralien raid. Even more alarmingly, the Kraliens had Torgoth and Arvonian allies with them. In the fighting that ensued, while local forces were busy defending the Terran Stellar Navy Headquarters, a small Kralien patrol hit the civilian station Sinai 2, which was lost. Most civilians were evacuated on transports, mining ships and other civilian ships docked in the station to avoid the hostilities.

S1E2: Evacuation of Sinai 2

No further civilian losses were suffered during the evacuation, mostly due to the decision of Artemis comms to send all civilians to TSN HQ, putting them on a route with very little hostile activity. Artemis, Hope and Fear kept the remaining hostile forces busy until all the evacuation ships were safely on dock, and managed to remove all hostile presence from the system after that.

S1E3: To boldly go where no one has goneā€¦ for a long, long time

Jumping to Kamet, Artemis found the sector by inhabited both a "TSN" station and a Kralien one. Both stations tried to instruct Artemis to leave and denied her docking rights. Artemis decided to wait for their logistics ship, but before the gate-builder Bridge Over Troubled Water jumped in, the Kralien side declared the existing treaty in the sector void and started a full-out attack. BOTW carried RFA diplomatic staff to the Kamet (human) station, and managed to (less than diplomatically) convince them to help Artemis against the aliens. Unfortunately, in the ensuing fighting both Bridge Over Troubled Water and Artemis were destroyed.

Coming next:

S1E4: Intrepid Explorers

Light Cruiser Intrepid is in jump to Kamet, expecting to join Artemis and Bridge Over Troubled Water there. On arrival, they find that the friendly ships have been destroyed and there is no gate that leads back to Terran space. Stranded alone in a sector from which all human presence has just been removed, where will Intrepid find safety?

Mission: Assess situation. Stay alive.

Friday or Saturday at 21:30 Helsinki time, every 1-3 weeks. I announce the dates separately to the group. And sorry to disappoint, but I am not currently looking for more players, at least not before I get more experience. Maybe in Season 2. [wink]

Sounds FANTASTIC. Must be nice to only have to deal with 1 crew. If you are able I would love to see videos of the events or a release of the script (unless you are GMing everything).

Keep up the amazing work!

It is nice having all the ships in the RP, but sometimes its good and you can do so much with just sing ship missions.

Indeed. Someday's I wish we could go back to that simplistic type of play. Then I remember that we have seven ships and I deal with it.

I still suggest some missions with one ship some with all.

We do kind of do that a bit now, the simulations have one or two ships with the main missions with all of them. Same thing but change the simulations to real scripted missions.

Yeah only problem is that we only have one person (usually) handling the story. Otherwise we would easily be able to do that.

As the intelligence team for the RP grows, it is my hope that in the future we will have multiple missions running at a similar time, with certain ships given missions and having to complete them independently or cooperatively. And of course the outcome of each affecting the course of events. Fish has been laying the foundations for this in the RP community.

This campaign sounds good too. Good luck with it, and sorry for hi-jacking the post
