I was trying to find this song at armada during the match where we played as the HORROR SHOW Ximni ship.  I found it again the other day and figured I'd share.

Ok so this is just a joke I don't think the image I have of the Ximni doesn't fit with the song but I thought it was funny so I'd share.

I could see that as Armada. Maybe we need a bunch of battle songs. Maybe even a battle song you can dance to.

Our crew tried for the entire 10 hour drive to armada to decide on a team song for the team.  We argued over everything from flight of the Valkyries to Sandstorm.   Needless to say we hadn't picked a theme song for the ship when we arrived.

To my knowledge not many wet navy warships have ever had their own battle songs. The only one I can think of is HMS Dreadnought but I can't seem to find the lyrics to that song today.

I would love to see a creative Artemis crew write an original song of their own exploits playing the game together. That is totally something a Ximni crew would do. [comp]

I am partial to the Brunnen'G battle song from Lexx

simple song starting solo, with the rest of the crew adding their voices

The Brunnen'G battle song was quite awesome! It would be hard to compose a song in an alien language but not impossible.

My personal favorite is the song "The Galactic Pilot" from the opening episode of Space Battleship Yamato 2199. In the show the song was sung by the crew of the Yukikazi as it charged into battle against impossible odds. I can't find the original on Youtube but here is an adequate version:

I also believe the Arvonians would have battle songs, but they would also have battle dances. Would anyone like to choreograph an Arvonian battle dance?

You can find videos of awesome battle dances online. Search Youtube for "Zulu War Dance" and you'll find a cool video. I would post it here but the video includes dancers with bare breasts so please search for it yourself.

it might be hard enough singing while running an efficient bridge, let alone dancing around the captain [smile]

A war dance is something you do before or after a battle, and possibly in a parade. [smile]

Anyone familiar with Guardians of the Galaxy or Spiderman knows that during a battle you tell jokes.
