Hi,

When I use beams in manual firing mode I can only see the targeted ship subsystems if it has weapons.

If the targeted ship is an unarmed transport, its subsystems are not shown.

Is there a way to fix it?

Interesting. No idea.

Short term RP-friendly workaround: give it a tickle-beam that does virtually no damage and just pretend it's for redirecting navigational hazards?

Interesting. Subsystems targeting was broken until recently, maybe there is still an issue when no weapons are specified. I don't remember seeing this problem with Missile Cruisers, though, so maybe the torpedo tube counts. Adding a torp tube shouldn't add a usable weapon to an NPC ship, it will just be ignored.

I added a beam to a transport in the vessel data, now I can use manual firing to aim its weapons...

...but no other subsystem is shown.
