How do you typically set up your bridge? What does the floorpan look like? Do you do differently in your "home" setting versus public events?

Curious on peoples experience. I want to try different options, but would love to hear feedback on possibilities before I spend a bunch of trial and error time setting them up.

It depends on personal preference. I set mine up so the captain can see all screens and the 3 front stations are facing the main screen. Using a clock face for reference captain is at 6, comms at 9 science at 11, helm at 12, weapons at 1 and engineer at 3.

We are gravitating towards the following setup:

It has the captain in the middle of the room while still having all stations face the main screen, which people typically want to see. I like having helm and weapons in front. Having Helm near the center facing the main screen seems to be a common setup that people like.

The above arrangement is a variation on what we used for Armada IV. It was a little awkward for science, but was perfect for Helm, Engineering, and Weapons.

Whats your projector stand made of, whats under the covering there?
I like the idea of having it up like that. Would be very useful for me I think.

Our projector stand is made with 2" PVC pipe framing with plywood end caps and is covered with the same stiff blackout curtain material as the projector screen. Unfortunately, the covering did not add enough lateral stiffness to the stand, so we needed to wedge it between two tables to stop it from wobbling. We're going to add some additional framing to fix that in the future.

Here is my current bridge layout. The projector is ceiling mounted above the captain's chair. When at Armada we have to be a little creative and we use a tall stand to put the projector on. Usually it sits next to the captains chair. Its designed so that the bridge face the corner of the room and the mainscreen mounted in said corner. It makes the bridge feel a lot longer/bigger that way. When I realized that I wanted to design a bridge I spent the first several months trying out different positions to see what worked. ultimately we settled on this.....more or less. My weapons officer still thinks its weird to be off to the side 😃

Basically since science needs to communicate more complicated information to comms and helm, Science is positioned between those two stations. Science does still have to communicate information to weapons, but it tends to be limited to shield frequencies and some ship capabilities. I have a VERY active comms officer so science and comms end up chatting a lot. I always like the idea of Engineering just kind of being able to do whatever they want, so they are the only console that the captain cant see directly from his seat. Engineering can also see what every other station is doing.

Here is the most updated picture of my bridge I have; Though it looks like it was set up for science on the far left, then helm, then weapons, then comms on the right. The science and weapons consoles have since been switched positions.
