So far I've tried downloading the installer from 3 different networks, 4 different computers and every mainstream browser I could think of. Every time I run the executable, the NSIS installer reports that an integrity check has failed and recommends contacting the author of the program. I've tried using 7-Zip's NSIS compatibility to manually extract it but this does not complete without errors. I can only think that the archive is corrupt on the website's end right now but no one seems to have mentioned this and that puzzles me. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Thanks,
Luke.

Is this the error you're getting? As I'm getting it too. Tried downloading it on another PC and got the same error. Downloading in Google Chrome and installing on Windows 10 home 64 bit

Same thing here. I thought it was because I'm on a work computer or something. (I have admin rights)

I've reported this problem via the contact form and linked back to this topic. If I get any updates on the situation via email I'll be sure to post back here if an announcement has not already been made.

Probably breaking more than one rule posting this but I've reconstructed a working 2.6.0 patch using files (just models, textures and configs) from the working steam version to fill in the corrupted gaps in the official patch. If a mod/admin is reading this, this is not a standalone game. There are no files included that weren't in the official patch. I can't get google drive to play with an online virus scanner but it is a self extracting 7-zip executable so you're welcome to browse through the archive before executing. You'll need to point it to your installation folder as it doesn't locate it automatically. Just give me the word if you want this taken down for one reason or another and it will be gone ASAP.

Since I've installed the patch myself, I'm guessing that either Thom's copy on the site was somehow corrupted (since Steam seems to be fine that would support this guess) or there's a change to Windows 10. Have you installed the new Fall Creator's Update?

If no one else has yet reported the issue, I'm guessing it's happened recently.

Looks like all is good now. There was something wrong server side. Yesterday it downloaded as an EXE compressed in a zip file. Today it is downloading as an EXE directly. Installing as normal now!

Since the main file is fixed, please remove the work around patch file and link.  Thanks!
