I have just taken a look at your maps. I think some might be the wrong way around. Cerberus System counts from 1 in the top left corner, across and down. This may be the case with some others too, but I have had not had opportunity to check that out. 

I love the maps though! How did you make them?

OK, I have had a look. 

Euphini Expanse is set up correctly on your maps, as is Atlantis. These are the only two that have sector 1 in the bottom left corner and counts left to right, from bottom to top. It is simply because of the way I coded them and I didn't want to spend the hours changing around some sector numbers when I could be working on other stuff. One day I might. Example:

5x4 Systems:
16    17    18    19    20
11    12    13    14    15
6      7      8     9     10
1      2      3     4      5

Every other sector however begins with sector 1 in the top left corner and counts left to right, from top to bottom. Ideally, Atlantis and Euphini would match, but they don't [smile]

4x3 Systems:
1      2       3       4
5      6       7       8
9     10     11     12

3x3 Systems:
1      2       3
4      5       6
7      8       9

4x2 Systems:
1      2      3      4
5      6      7      8

Hope that helps with updating the maps!

Question. Where might I find the vanilla sandbox version? [biggrin]

I haven't continued to update the vanilla version. With limited time, I have invested more in the TSN Sandbox as the TSN RP Community use it on a weekly basis. I can see if I can find an older version, but cannot guarentee how stable it would be.

Wow, I just fixed the order and now they look much better... Thanks for the hint!

The whole thing is very simple PHP code.
For each sector I have one directory with one file for each map (Atlantis e.g. has 20 files). The site knows that Atlantis is 5x4 big and automatically creates a table and fills it with the correct images.

In each of the sector directories there is also a CSV file called "entities.txt", that looks like this:

M-738,S,1
M-184,S,1
Cerberus Gate,G,1
M-865,S,1

The first value is the name to display, the second value can be S(tation), G(ate) or O(ther). and the last value is the map number where it can be found.
I created those files by hand according to the maps.

The rest is just reading these files and displaying the data.

I think I will offer the option to download the files and source code, so everybody can run the page in a LAN setup with a simple web server capable of PHP.

I would love to able to get this as a download so people in the TSN could run it on their own computer. We use the maps frequently when we play on the weekend so to have this as a tool to access would be great.

As you wish: http://cervantez.dyndns.org/ now includes a download link that will always get the latest version.

But as I said (and also mention on the linked page), you need a web server like Apache's XAMPP (or XAMPP Lite) to run the page. It's not just an HTML page you can open in a Browser.

OK, maybe I'm simply doing something wrong here but once I as the GM perform the following:
W1 - Main Screen and Helm - not ready to Play
W2 - Weapons - ready to play
W3 - Engineering - ready to play
W4 - Science and Comms - ready to play
W5 - Game Master - ready to play
Server - start game

Initialising ship systems

W1 - Ready to play (ship comes up on screen)

W5 - Initialize - Select Sandbox Mode -> GM Mode
 Linking to command network
W5 - Select Start Point -> Allied Systems -> Atlantis System
 Sector transition
 Sector transition
 Sector transition
 Sector transition
 Ship Systems Activated
 Link Established Atlantis Command Network

On the GM Screen I can see the sector populate but after the 4th Sector transition message - the game ends.
Is there a way to see what's happening to cause the game to end?

The ship is not named correctly. In the version I uploaded, I have forgotten to change player ship names back to the original names! Rather an oversight on my part, sorry. I'll correct this evening.

For now, you could use one of the following names:
TSN Raven, TSN Lancer, TSN Phoenix, TSN Hunter,TSN Viper

Alternatively, open the script usinh notebook and use Find and Replace, changing TSN Raven to Artemis (or other name).

I'll upload an edited file later if you are OK to hang on.

No rush! Tonight was a testing night for the weekend game.  Glad you knew what the issue was that quickly!  I can easily wait for a new upload to place on the server since it doesn't have to go to all of the clients.

Here it is! I have renamed it the Artemis Sandbox to differentiate it from the TSN Sandbox. All the standard players names are used:

Artemis, Intrepid, Aegis, Hera, Diana, Ceres, Excalibur and Horatio

You can take any ship name as long as you use those. Ship 1 is not required, Artemis is not required, just a ship with the name above. If you want you can rename Ship 1 to Intrepid too. Or you could run only Ship 3 as Intrepid (of course, the server main screen will be affected as a result). As long as one ship is spawned with one of the names above, you should have no issues.
