Hi, I am a new member of the TSN community, and I was wondering if it was possible to run the Weekly event on possibly 2 nights instead of one.  I want to join and play and earn rank (I am the Artemis expert in my Star Trek Fan club, possibly in our entire fleet (which covers a few states)) but alas I have to work on the only night they do them right now.  I would love to be able to join and earn rank, and possibly eventually get my own ship.  Is this a possible option? I might be able to get away with running teamspeak (if they don't have the port blocked) at work, but not Artemis.

I assume you are talking about the RP community?

If so I understand your problem. We have had several promising members have to leave due to changes in their own personal work schedule that has lead to this problem. As it stands we currently play 2 to 3 hours every week and trying to expand would lead to possible loss of players per night as they would say well I am going to attend this night and not the next. Or there are a numerous officers who simply couldn't make it two nights a week.

So I have to say as the RP currently stands I don't believe such is possible. If you have any questions or want to see if you can work something out please contact me and I will bring whatever you say to the RP command staff.

I plan on eventually getting something like this started, though it won't be an OFFICIAL session, but would be open for any who can't make it to the Saturday sessions to have a more serious and organized SCHEDULED time to hang out and have some matches. Right now my schedule is WAY too unpredictable to make this happen, but eventually it may be a very real thing.

Anwoke, you live in the UK, right? I probably won't be able to do a session on those three days during a time that you would be available at due to classes during the day here in America. (that's not to say I can't get something working. Last semester I had plenty of time on Mondays and Wednesdays to do something like that) The times would also change drastically based on what time of the year it is since sometimes you can't avoid having classes at certain times. In the meantime, do know this probably won't be something that starts up until at the very earliest the summer, due to all of the construction and unpredictability in my schedule right now.

Ah, I see. That gave the appearance of a person from the middle of Europe, as that would be around the same time they would be going to sleep and getting up. My bad! That essentially would just leave me with Wendsday if we want it to be before you work, as my classes start at 12:30 (11:30 your time). That is unless if you are willing to do something after my classes get out on any of your days off. Currently I have class on Wendsday from 12:30 till 2:00, so in theory any time around 1 PM your time or later would work on Wednesdays. I may make a post on the forums here seeing if people want to have a get together sometime soon after that (barring my house's construction getting in the way) to have a more formal gathering (not an official RP session) just to get a gauge as to how many we could get. If it ends up being a decent number, we may be able to get something going there using the RP structure, though it still wouldn't be a replacement for the Saturday sessions.

How does next Wendsday at 2:00 PM your time, 3:00 PM US Central, 9 PM UTC sound? Any others will also be welcome to join us!

This may be one of the few times that I can say I have a good chance of being able to get on! I found out earlier today that the current plan is that the workers won't be here next week due to having another contract they need to finish.

Alice, the issue with any earlier is I run the risk of not being home from classes by the beginning. My classes let out at 8 UTC, so 7 definately will not work. That is the earliest I get off of classes durring the week normally too.

As for the length of the session, that mainly depends on how long I myself can stay on, but also relies a bit on how many people show up. If it's just you and me, I assume it would be fairly short. If we have a full crew, I'd say around 2 or so hours, if not longer. I don't want to go over 3 hours though, so 2 to 2 1/2 hours would be a good bet.
