I'm sure it's user error (read: incompetence) - we got the impression from the PDF manual that the ship was changed on the server screen, so discovering the Helm option was pretty much 'Hey, what's that?' 'Try it!' 'Doesn't seem to make a difference' 'Never mind' in about as much time as it takes to read it... But yes, I'll try it again tomorrow and let you know! Many thanks again!

I apologize if this has already been answered earlier - does this mod work with 2.1.1?

I haven't done the 2.1.1 upgrade yet, no - I've been slacking.  I don't think there's anything in particular keeping it from being done, so I'll check that out and make sure to get out a new release.

Ok, short answer is there's some housekeeping stuff to do, adding weapons to bases, that sort of thing.  I'm thinking of applying the reduced scale to this mod as well, since it makes space feel bigger.  And since I've been doing modified internals for the TNG Mod, I've got all 4 player ships already done for this one.  I'll try to get it out by the end of the week, since it's just going to mostly be mucking with the vesselData file.

Here we go!  This should do it: Get it here!

I updated a few bits in the .ini file, made all the models half scale (since it worked pretty well for the TNG Mod) and played through it a few times to make sure I hadn't missed something.

In the inevitable case that I missed something, please let me know!  Otherwise, it should be good to go for 2.1.1, and probably 2.1.5.

Yep, this and Vorus&Martok's TOS Into the Beach mods were some of the first mods in general, and definitely the first Star Trek ones. I'm happy I can keep this one going for TreChipman, who died a while back.

I'll be doing the 2.2 update here first, as usual, partly because the vesseldata.xml file is much less complex.  The main update in terms of modding is the new torpedo type - it needs a few lines in the artemis.ini file and an update to vesseldata to include those.

In my logo frenzy, I've done this one as well.  Additionally, it replaces the Artemis logo in the observer screen.

This mod is amazing! Any plans to add an Ares class ship from Axenar or the original constitution class?

Glad you dig it!  I'm probably not going to add in any TOS or earlier to this mod, since there's a couple TOS mods out there already.  There aren't any Enterprise era mods tho - if I do one of those I might be convinced to go through the Connie [smile]

Yep!  Crack open your artemis.ini file and scroll about halfway down until you find the

; -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
; SOUND FX CUES (for client and server)
; -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is where you can assign any wav file (in any folder inside the Artemis folder) to any of the listed FX.  Warp Travel, normal engine noise, beam sounds, all kinds of stuff.  The engine sound is either cueEngineLoop or cueWarpTravel, depending on what you're looking for.

I'm not sure there's much to be gained from adding fighters to this mod.  Shuttles?  Not exactly a highly valuable combat addition.  I suppose if fighters can be used in courier or retrieval missions at some point there's probably value to be gained.  I'm open to suggestions, though!
