Another custom ship incoming, the hot-rod Intrepid X class.  It's fast and packs a hell of a punch, but burns through dilithium crystals like it was it's job.  Almost done with the stats, it'll release soon.  Also, I'm going to start linking missions to the front page as well, so they don't get lost!

I just updated to the latest mod files from the Dropbox, and I noticed a couple of problems.

1) vesseldata.XML references "JEM_Attack.dxs" but the file is called "JEM_Attacker.dxs". These two have to agree, so one needs to be changed.
2) Same thing with Olympic-class. XML references "Olympic.dxs", file is called "FED_Olympic.dxs"

In both cases, this causes an "invisible" ship to appear in the game (you can see its shields and arcs, but no main screen visual or map icon).

I'm positively surprised that this didn't cause the entire game to crash. I've had very different experiences with "missing" texture files.

I really enjoyed Admiral Legasse's mission Jewel Heist!: https://artemis.forumchitchat.com/post?id=9705105

But I wanted to try it with Klingons instead of pirates, so here is my TNG update for the mission except I changed the races around to make it Trekie. 😃 Since it is supposed to be a stealth mission, I also added in a player cloaking device!

PS: The cloaking visual effect works best if you have a high frame rate on your Main Screen (and Helm, to a lesser degree). I find I get a better frame rate running Artemis in "Full Screen Windowed" mode. You probably want at least 150 FPS for the best look. I can get 300+ FPS on a six year old laptop, so this really shouldn't be a problem for most people. You can always check your frame rate in the Artemis game from any client or server by hitting ALT-F. Since I'm running Windows 10, I also run DXWnd and it gives a huge FPS boost! I've created another mission for TNG, and this one is a space race! Please give it a try and let me know what you think. I have tested it on my local bridge group, but because this is my most complicated mission script yet (over 7000 lines of code!), I'd especially like to hear about any bugs you might find. Thanks!

Minor bug, but I noticed that the Steamrunner's beam ports are not port/starboard balanced. This can be easily fixed by editing the vesseldata.xml and changing the x value on lines 189 and 1475 from positive to negative.

I.e.:
line 189 should be:
<beam_port arcwidth="0.3" damage="1.6" playerdamage="16" cycletime="10.6" range="1470" x="-78.582344" y="20.428774" z="47.622559" />

and line 1475 should be:
<beam_port arcwidth="0.3" damage="3.2" cycletime="8.93" range="1470" x="-78.582344" y="20.428774" z="47.622559" />

Whups!  I'm usually pretty good about getting those fixed during the copy-paste process, although I clearly just work down one side of the ship in the ShipEditor lol
