Greetings fellow players,
I'm announcing the first Artemis Party in my city, Brescia (Lombardy region, northern Italy). The event will take place on the afternoon of the 23th of September, in a municipal theater. Free entry for everyone 😃

My last check has shown something like 10 people interested in the event and I hope there will be many more in the future.

I know that most of you aren't Italian but still I wanted to let you know there are players here too 😉

I'll try to take some pictures to share with you but I hope I'll be too busy to think about photos 😃

Welcome to the fleet.

What is your Bridges name if you have one? If not I'd like to either recommend TSN Brescia (if you like to play normal TSN ships, like the Light Cruiser), Privateer "InsertYourFavoriteName" if you like to play the pirate ships, or come up with something weird for the Ximni ships.

If you get a fair amount of players on a regular basis, make a FaceBook page for your group (Artemis Italian Contingent?). Maybe like these...

Would love to see photos of your bridge in action.
again, Welcome to the fleet.

After a long afternoon, I can proudly say that our first event went smoothly and noisy 😉

We had to change location for practical reasons, from a municipal theatre to a municipal library; we got 8 players out of the supposed 10 (we did a couple of stations switch) and a lot of bystanders. The location was a bit cramped without much space for a projector, so the main monitor was a tiny 27-inches monitor; we tried also to cover some of the shelves with pieces of canvas and we created a big "DIY" curtain to block those pesky sunrays.

I got a lot of positive feedbacks and the main question I got asked was "So, when will the next event be held?"; I also got a couple of feedbacks on the mission which I'll use to update it in the future. If you're curious, go check the missions out on my GitHub account: https://github.com/Ingannatore/artemis-missions. For your information, the players completed the training mission in about 20 minutes and the "real" one in exactly 32 minutes.

That looks great! Perhaps we need to translate the taunts and intelligence reports into Italian.

Nice idea but I'd rather have a LUA-based mission scripting [wink]

Fingers crossed, but I think you will get your wish in Artemis 3.0!
