Here is a quick video showing a sneak peek of the GM mode in the the new V4 Sandbox (this is my first video and I have a bit of a cold, so bear with me!) I have a couple of menu items to finish, but I thought I would release this to show you guys what I have done so far. Implementing the new GM buttons is pretty straightforward, so it should be ready within the next day or so. 



To run the Sandbox, you'll need Artemis v2.3.109 and the TSN Mod. Fish Evans is currently working on updating the mod for the newest Artemis release and it should be ready when the Sandbox is complete.

I'll post up a new thread with all the details as soon as everything is ready!

OK, so the TSN Sandbox Version 4 is pretty much finished; all the is left is AI keys and a few extra keys to add in. The TSN Expansion (mod) has also been updated. There are some tweaks to make and final testing before everything is released. Basically though, everything is working smoothly and set up. 

I'll look at making a video detailing the GM console in full for new GMs and perhaps another one for players introducing the Sandbox in general e.g. Patrol mode, functions such as fuel collectors, jump points, edge to edge transition, life pods, the system maps etc.

Last night, officers of the TSN RP Community helped test the Sandbox. I used the GM console to set up a simple attack and everything worked smoothly. I managed to crash my client to test the reboot option too and I was able to rejoin and regain control of the script.

The AI keys need a small tweak to make sure the AI stack for selected ships is implemented properly. I did manage to test the new speed and direction keys and was delighted to find I could quickly take control of a ship and fly it around. That was probably the most exciting part! At one point,the players tried conducting a bombing run but I was able to make the enemy ship veer away and cause them to miss.

It was a really great way to GM - so simple and straight forward to use. I'll try and put together a video later today.

Update - I have now created the Krisenda System for the Sandbox. This is a brand new system of 12 sectors.

Now that our TSN Expansion mod is up to date, and the Sandbox is working smoothly, I am looking to release the new version soon.

I will try and put together a couple of updated videos guiding you through the process of installing the expansion and the mission script, as well as the previously mentioned guide for players with information about the fuel collectors, jump points, edge to edge transitions, life pods etc. This should help both players and GMs work the sandbox and use things to their full potential (e.g. life pods and how you go about picking them up).

Almost forgot to mention too, I will include information about the "Stellar Cartography" map and how to use that!
