Skaraan society revolves around their jobs working for corporations. Skaraan corporations will hire anyone, not just Skaraans, as long as you don't mind being a cog in a corporate wheel. Skaraan jobs do pay well, so there are quite a few humans, Torgoths, Arvonians, and Kraliens working for the Skaraans.

By Skaraan tradition, as long as you work for one of their corporations you wear your career on your face, a bit like a LinkedIn page. You right cheek is tattooed with symbols like a resume. It includes your corporation's name, a record of job titles and legacy accomplishments. Your left cheek has temporary tattoos of symbols indicating your current professional and technical certifications. These tattoos fade as your certifications expire.

Once the Skaraans started hiring Arvonians their tradition expended to allow the symbols to be displayed on your clothing. Skaraan corporations, like every navy in the galaxy, are always wary of Arvonian infiltrators.
