Depends on "when" the game is based?

Artemis is basically a war/battle simulator... So if it's based during the war Brown Coats Vs Unionists it's pretty much fine as is.

Anything more than that might be hard to pull off.

One of my canonical battles from Artemis Armada featured systems breaking down every few minutes. It worked pretty well and kept the crew, especially the engineer, on their toes. During testing the biggest difficulties came when the engineer received a warning (e.g. "The front shields are about to fail!") but somehow word didn't get to the captain. You can imagine the captain's surprise when he charged into combat just as the front shields collapsed.

I wrote Ifni's Children as a set of live-action rules to create the political and economic context to allow Firefly 'Verse-like trader/smuggler/pirate LARP play using Artemis for the space travel portion. In Firefly, very little character time is spent actually operating Serenity in space, and most of that is evasion not engagement; in other words, the action hinges primarily on interactions between characters, which in game terms means LARP.

I've added a firefly ship to the master mod here;

But be warned... It has no shields since they don't have them in the show... But the enemy aliens invading the Verse do!
