Hey there, greetings from Germany
Short story: I play ARTEMIS every few month, with my regular crew of 6-8 friends, and I invite some new guys most of the time. For the next trip tomorrow i had three rookies invited who never played before. Jokefully i announced on friday, that they would have to wear red shirts for the evening. I got some smiles in response, combined with confused looks, depending on how much of a star trek nerd they are. And with that comment, i jinxed them. I jinxed them all. All 3 newbies are sick and had to cancel. THEY "DIED" BEFORE ENTERING THE SHIP! Damn you, redshirts!

"You're not gonna die on the planet, Guy."
"I'm not? Then what's my last name?" "It's, uh, uh - -I don't know." "Nobody knows. Do you know why? Because my character isn't important enough for a last name, because I'm gonna die five minutes in." "Guy, you have a last name."
[panicking] "DO I? DO I?"
Thank you, Galaxy Quest.
