Hello,
here are some photos of our last LARP : "KATANA" using Artemis (during a WeekEnd).
Most of the pictures were took by the players and some by photograph friends (but the space were limited).

The pitch of the LARP :
In a far part of the galaxy, an elite group was formed to infiltrate and regain control of Katana, a legendary fleet of "ghost" military cruisers, which disappeared on the day of its inauguration.
The command ship seems abandoned for decades. As the group progresses, everything does not go as planned.
It will be necessary to understand the operation of the cruiser and fight not to become in turn a ghost.

The LARP took place in my apartment (emptied and refitted for the game).
We created many electronics machines in order to simulate failures of the ship.
The gunfight scene were played in the corridors of the building (withe the gently agrement of the neighbors).
For the Artemis game we gather many computers, DMX Led lights.

This game was organized by our game association.
We were all volunteers : organizers, NPC-actor, Artemis Game Master...

That looks like great fun. Especially running up and down the corridors with phaser rifles.

The pictures in the second and fourth posts didn't show up for me, though.

Holy Moly, this is awesome!

Where did this take place? And was it a one-time event or an intended (or already established) series of events?

Hello, this game was played approximatively 30 times in Paris for 2 years.
It was designed for 12 players.

As for each game, we have to move all our personnal stuff from our flat and decorate it as a spaceship, it's difficult to organize this game frequently : there is a lot of logisitics.

We are planning to write the sequel of this storie, it wll mix 2 spaceships and a spatial base. We are looking for an empty school or a holliday center.
We expect to play the new game next year. (We have to create new sceneries, news electronics props, new characters, probably find another location...).
As we create and organize this game as volunteers, it goes after family life and work.

It would be nice for us to find a location where we can let the game installed and play it on demand.
Sadly, for the moment we don't know anyone who have an empty house for this...

Previously a friend of us has a long delay in the rebuilding of his house.
So during one year we got the opportunities to organize the game scenerie before this one.
Here is a little reportage form the TV : (in french)

This game tooks place in a Tatooine's cantina.
The following was write to take place in a spaceship, so Artemis was so helpful.

That sounds like a ton of work.

In Hamburg, Germany, we started a Star Trek inspired LARP back in 2016 that was originally designed for more like 40-50 people. Events take place once a month. Since then, player numbers have somewhat decreased to about 12-15 regular players.

For a location, we use a seminar center at DESY (DESY is kind of CERN's little brother) which we are able to use free of charge because we know people who know people. [wink] Schools or youth centers would work, too, I'm sure. Anything really that allows for relatively easy setup.

Keep us posted on your progress.
