Hello fellow Artemis fans.  Not sure if this the proper place to post this.

Yesterday, my friends and I threw our biggest Artemis party yet.  Using Arrew's Sandbox, forum member DarkerFenix GM'd an incredible story driven game spanning multiple sectors.  We had 3 fully staffed bridges.  We even created a first officer position which was very helpful.  We had away missions, ground combat, and even a fully functional engineering room.  I made this short video to show what we did.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Amazing - thank you for sharing!  I'm doubly jealous because in a former life I was the recording engineer for an NPR station in their live shows and studio production department.  Oh, how I miss working with audio...

Thanks for checking out the video.  We ran cameras in every room.  We're hoping to put together a gameplay video in the near future.

DarkerFenix was running the Sandbox.  He used your sector layout and worked them into his story.  He used skype and the voice changer to play different character (with masks and costumes!)  He'd have enemies drop out of warp to fight us.  He would improvise obstacle courses, and have friendly players swoop in to save the day.  We also had ground events affect conditions on the ship.  We had to go to a planet, retrieve some fuel and then he'd use your reward system to give us energy.  Your sandbox made everything possible.  Thanks again!

So psyched! Some dude with his own metal band just mentioned me/the sandbox on youtube... Twice <LOL>.

Holy **** your warp core rocks! I want one. Too bad Christmas has already gone.

Any chance you could give us a story/plot run down? I would have loved to have seen your GM in Character too. [biggrin]

Yeah, It's basically a children's play tunnel suspended vertically.  There are some lights in it being controlled by DMX software.  We made different scenes to trigger different events.

We kept an ambient engineering audio loop going all day and then had the DMX software trigger red alert sounds.  We also used a cheapo smoke machine to make lights look better.

I assigned all the scenes to keystrokes and then triggered them using the ipad app. It's an incredible app.  Totally worth $10

Make sure you use V3.1 of the Sandbox and if you have any special requirements or questions let me know. [smile]
