The Rantoul Public Library is encouraging aspiring writers to come and work alongside a group or by themselves every Wednesday in November from 4-5pm. But don't limit yourself. Our library is always a great place to write at any time and in any genre. Come see what you can accomplish in just one month. At Rantoul Public Library, 106 W. Flessner Ave. 217- 893-3955. http://www.rantoul.lib.il.us

Nice Mike.

Truth be told I'm really struggling this time around. Had a small lead on Sunday but I haven't met quota so the buffer is all but gone.

What you thinking of writing, Sci-Fi?

Yes, I'm going to work on a science fiction novella that's part of a series.

Good luck, Arrew.

I don't know if existing works are eligible, or if fanfiction is, but if I don't make SOME progress on my Ranma 1/2 fanfic during the month of November, I think my regular readers may start coming at me with pitchforks. I've been writing this for three years, and had writer's block for a year, up until a couple of months ago.

I have quite a few things I've written, but this is currently the longest.

Yep. I have a bunch of stories on fanfiction.net and fictionpress.com, under Richard Ryley. Most are fanfiction for the Ranma 1/2 and Monster Rancher Animes, and an original story based on my Dungeons and Dragons days, but I have two original stories, one about a group of superheroes, and one (the best of the bunch, I think) about a Sam Spade-like private detective in a cyberpunk future. (And I wrote the story long before "The Matrix" came out, so it's just a coincidence that my virtual reality has the same name. Honest! [biggrin])

In addition, while I don't think it's posted on fictionpress, I wrote a pretty unique werewolf story. It's a sequel to an earlier novel I wrote, but that story is so old and primitive I don't dare show it around. And the sequel kind of doesn't stand well on its own. The concept is that the werewolves aren't mystical shapechangers, just sentient wolves. I think I will go ahead and post it to fictionpress despite its flaws.
