Can anyone suggest some relatively short but fun missions?

Ideally ones with a plot and either a deiccion or a plot twist or two.

One where the enemy steals something and starts making a getaway, but command recalls you (save people on a station or something). Do you pursue and disobey orders, or follow orders and return?

I have planed on writing something starting easy with some probes to be checked (gathering data, do minor repairs, maybe tractor one with severe damage to a station and back to its coordinates, ...) in a given time.

But some enemies appear to disturb and delay the mission, ending in
a) a big fight when they are not eliminated fast enough or
b) a failure of the initial mission if the time is up or
c) a success with all enemys destroyd and all probe task accomplished.

Maybe they hacked a probe to guide them and if you can find out wich one to destroy/reprogram will prevent the enemies to appear.

You are far more experienced in writing, so I would be happy if you like the idea and prevent me from getting frustrated in trying it. [wink]

thanks for all the ideas. Perhaps we should start a plot hook or plot idea thread.

But I was thinking finished mission scripts that we could play, not GM/make ourselves.
