UPDATE 2/19/14

Found a message spamming, never had it happen before. Changed something, not sure if it fixed it or not but could not get it to repeat.

I ran the mission last night alone to test out all of the new updates. It was alot more interesting than when I first ran it! You've made some good changes! Also, I didn't expect that final enemy wave, so I had no power and almost lost the Miranda.

Our crew in Portland has tried this mission several times over the past six months. It's a mission that works reliably and rarely crashes the Artemis client. We've taken to calling it Bacon in the Dark...

But there's a problem. Despite how much we have played it, we have NEVER been successful.
Perhaps there's an issue with the difficulty level? We usually select a level at random. Usually set it higher than 1. Sometimes 4, sometimes something else.
Anyway, we can easily zip up to the Bacon (Miranda?) pretty quickly, but then the Bacon likes to meander around, and by the time it decides to start heading toward the space station, there are 12 enemy ships chasing us.
We're flying in THE ARTEMIS. We aren't flying in a luxury-class Bomber Carrier. We've got maybe 2 nukes onboard if we're lucky, and we don't want to abandon the Bacon to zip over to the station to rearm our ship.
We'll taunt the enemy until we go down in flames in order to buy the Miranda a few extra minutes to figure out its own way to the space station.

Are there some audio prompts we're missing because we can't get the server to play sound through the HDMI cable? Is there something our Comms guy isn't telling us?
What's wrong with the Miranda? Why doesn't it go back to base? Why are there so many enemies? What are we missing here?

Thx Ayelis, I had assumed all my scripts were broken as they were made a while ago. Thx for the info. I tried it with 2.6 and it lagged bad after the ships near the Miranda appeared. If you are playing an earlier version or it is not lagging for you I would ask if your comms is navigating the Miranda? The Mirandas sensors are damaged and she needs assistance to get to the base thats why shes hiding in the nebula. If I'm not mistaken I may have had to run to the base during the fight but cant remember exactly. Be sure to navigate the Miranda away from the fight. Let me know what version you are running on. Thx, Chas!

Good day!

We are playing with (mostly) 2.4 since (most) of our crew utilize mobile devices to realize their viewscreens. The server, also, is 2.4 for this reason (otherwise, screens will pop up warning everyone that there's a version mismatch, and nobody likes that).

Thanks for the Comms officer tip! That's definitely something we were unsure about. Our comms officer sometimes spaces some of the messages that are intercepted and doesn't always check all the available options for communicating with other ships. It's good to know that this is a necessary component of this mission. We'll try it out next time!
