We played it Saturday night as well. Finished the mission with just a few minutes to spare. The helm officer looked up and remarked "I didn't know we were being timed"

Nice! Anyone running as GM? Any confusion to clarify?

I remember some audio files talking over each other in the beginning, but I think it was something we did. Mike might have been on the GM station, but I don't remember.

I, too, ran the mission a couple of times Saturday night. The script worked okay, but the crews didn't do very well. Whenever the audio messages played they listened for a few seconds then started talking to each other. The players talked over most of the audio messages.

Yes, I was at the GM station and Gypsyjuggler was on one of the crews. I did not do much as the GM. Some of the audio files did talk over each other but I dodn't think I triggered that and I'm pretty sure the player's didn't either.

One of the crews wasn't sure how much they should role play the story so they engaged in some meta conversation:

"If I have lost my memory, then how do I know that I am the Helmsman? Maybe this machine in front of me is a pizza oven."

"They said we all lost our memories, so how do we know which of us is the captain?"

"How do we know which side we're on? Maybe the person talking to us is really the bad guy!"

"Yeah! Maybe we're being gaslighted, like in Memento!"

"Or maybe I am supposed to play as if all of you lost your memories, like in that TNG episode with the warp bubble! Maybe I am the one who is supposed to solve everything!"

"I played a Dungeons and Dragons game once where our characters woke up on the bridge of the Enterprise. We totally trashed the ship with magic spells."

"I think this is more like the game BioShock. We're gonna kill some stuff then that guy will say a trigger word and we'll switch sides."

Heh! OK, probably need to expand my GameMaster script and have it explain the backstory to the crew.

At the convention, I did a quick intro explaining that "you WERE an awesome crew--but something happened. Listen carefully to the Apollo crew; they're going to try to help you."

Thanks for the feedback!

Another option: i could probably take all the existing narration and turn it into a legit training mission--which gets interrupted by a REAL attack!

Not very original, and it pretty much rips off a certain Trek movie, but if it works...
