Humorist and author Scott Adams recently shared a bit of wisdom--not sure if it's original with him: One of the best ways to get advice on doing something better is to do it poorly--in public!

So here's my work in progress for an Artemis training crash course in our LTE Bridge setup. I'm almost done: Introduction, Science, Comms, Helm, Weapons, and Engineering are all done. I have voiceovers recorded for Fighter and a Captain summary, but no footage yet.

UPDATE: here's a more refined edition we are using for AgamaCon 2020, including updates to the docking buttons.

MISSING: Fighter, and a Captain summary. But all core bridge positions are covered.

The script working draft is here:

The final release will contain textual music credits as required by the composer, and then will be provided for download in high-quality MP4 format for offline use by any bridge hosts.

I'm considering an additional release with subtitles baked into the video too.

Thanks for sharing. That is really well done. We've been due for some updated training videos.

Are you making it available for use by other bridges? I'd like to be able to put it in the rotation with other training videos when we run at con - assuming/hoping we have an area where we can set up a display. We can give attribution, of course.

I'm double-checking the music licensing, which requires that the original composer is credited. That's easy on YouTube, but standalone videos will require that I 'burn' the credits into the video itself, probably on title cards between stations.

Assuming I don't have to purchase music licenses, my plan is to release this to the general Artemis community, gratis. The finished video will be provided in MP4 format, so you can play it offline via VLC, etc.
