Hi there,

A bunch of mates and I have been planning a big Artemis LAN. We are expecting 12 - 15 people so should at least be able to field a couple of crews.

The vast majority of them haven't played Artemis before, so we'll be starting off with some of the standard scenarios but I was also hoping to find some scripts/missions to play once we've got the hang of it.

Are there any that would fit 2 or more ships and not be too advanced?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.

I was hoping for some suggestions of scripted missions that I could download and we could play through together. In case we want to try something different other than the standard Siege, Border War etc Scenarios that come built in.

It really depends on the crew. If they feel up to something like a scripted mission and you feel good about it too, then why not. Be aware, some of the scripted mission may not work for 2.5. I would test them out first on your own.

I personally would start with level 3 with a 15-20 time limit so they learn the controls. Then 7 or 8 should work. Another option would be to have one player as game master, and set their sensor range something low. Then you can adjust depending on how good they are doing.

There are a few multi-ship missions on the mass download. A few you can adjust the difficulty.

The summer war stuff has video briefings on yourtube and I think the difficulty adjusts to how many ships you have? So 1 or 2 shouldn't be too bad.... Maybe...

The summer war stuff is very difficult (though super fun) and as I recall did not scale well if difficulty was under lvl 11. So, I would leave those alone for new crew. However Arrew is an excellent script writer and his missions are all fun to play and the rest should be ok if lvl is adjustable.

At cons I run Attract mode.  Let's me test all the stations, make sure they are ship-shape.  AND let's me show the {especially new} players what the screens REALLY look like {as opposed to e menu}.  Most will even sit in and play a bit to get the usual spiel.  There is NO victory, enemies re-spawn infinitely.
This might get you thru the whole "newness" phase of things.  Select Scrikpted Mod and hit 1 arrow Left.  Be sure to show them the Space Whales!
