I took my bridge-in-a-bag setup to Lil'Con 2, a one day gaming event, Saturday, My 2nd,  1 laptop re-displayed it's propensity to overheat (after ~3 hours, so there's that}, but I had 6 others, so had it covered.  Found I need a bigger Main Screen, my 19" TV I use as 2nd screen just didn't cut it for public use.  Got there early, set it up and had a few minutes for a break before the doors opened @ noon.  Then it was in almost continuous use until ~10:15 when I started breaking down.  It's GREAT seeing newcomer's faces light up as they discover the fun of Artemis.  Had some people that had seen Artemis @ previous Cons, so there a nice mix of seasoned and newcomers.

If you don't mind me asking.

So when you guys do cons you just have tables with laptops on and a big TV?

For me, I have laptops for the individual player stations.
I've got a joystick for helm.
For the main display, I'll use a big TV if they provide one (have HDMI and SVGA cables with me), but I've also got a projector and an 8 foot or 6 foot wide screen that breaks down into a 2 foot bag that I take with me. Just depends on how much room they give me to work with.

I'm planning on some DMX lighting eventually, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Doesn't seem to impact how busy I get at conventions much.

How about lighting? Does standard con booth lighting wash out the projector screen or do you use a darkened room?

If I get a room to set up in, I'll try to dim the lighting a bit just for atmosphere.
However, the projector I've got is ridiculously bright. I've used it in fully lit rooms, pulled back far enough to fill my 8 foot wide screen, and the image is still plenty bright.

I think I've got a couple of pictures from this past weekend. I'll get them and the model of my projector when I get home.

Both pics were taken in full normal room overhead lighting.
