EDIT: correct second word of second phrase.

Looking for ways to make my Artemis sessions a little bit more exciting, I stumbled upon the Kralien dictionary.  I spent a while reading it, and managed to write (with what is presumably very poor grammar) a couple of taunts for captains to shout at retreating vessels:
  • "Er ga gendaki" -- [this is] now not the hatchery; you aren't in the nursery any more; you're playing with the big boys now
  • "Trunten aiyanali" -- murderer of priests (noun phrase, not sentence)
The second is probably extremely potent, given the Kraliens' strength of religion.  Please do correct my Kralien.  Xenolinguistics is not my strong point.

Now for the pronunciation,

Does the Er sound like Err (error?) or do you twirl the r like in Spanish? Is the ga a hard G like in Golf or soft like in George? an Gendaki is it "Shjendachee" or Gen-dakki? or other

Trunten Ailyani - True-Ten Ale-Yanni or something like Tdrrrun-Teen Al-Yanni (add Spanish/Puerto Rican/Mexican accent here)

Xenolinguistics is not my strong point either, but a mispronunciation may have you asking "do you want fries with that?"

Erratum: it should be aiyanali, not ailyani.

Pronounciation:
ehr gah GEHN-dah-kee
troon-tehn ah-ee-yan-nah-li

Kralien is not a tonal language anyway, so minor mistakes are forgivable and could easily be put down to radio interference.  (It might even make it more effective: no-one wants to be defeated by a captain who can't even speak his language.)

If you could find a Kralien translation for "Do you want fries with that?", it would probably make an excellent thing to yell after an EMP/nuke strike.

I love these Kralien insults!

The word "fries" would be in our language. The rest is probably do-able though you might need to take liberties with the pronoun "that."

The pronoun "that" isn't a problem.  It's "nim", pronounced "neem".  (I've been following this for words, with grammar from the wiki.)  The bigger problem is that I can't find the verb for "want", or the transitive verb for "need" or "desire".  Does anyone have a list of abstract verbs in Kralien?

How about "Do you require/requisition/demand/acknowledge the presence of an unflattering/ugly side dish with you meal?"

The person to ask is Randal.

The Kralien word emin means take, so you could say "Do you take fries with that?"

Emin means "take" in the sense of "seize", which I think would be a mistranslation.  The snark, and the meaning, of the phrase comes from the fact that the speaker is freely offering and giving the fries, not asking if the listener is going to pillage someone's fry holdings in the near future.

This may fall into the "most epic" thread on the Artemis forum EVER!

How would you say "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!" in Kralien.  Another quit offensive taunt from the middle ages...

To a Political Diplomatic Officer "Do you request/requisition/demand/acknowledge/allow the presence/location/offering of an obscure/ugly/unflattering side dish/added component to your meal/daily diet/Caloric intake? In an extraneous amount/Enlarged quantity/Surplus volume?

to an experienced comms officer.... "You want fries with that? Super-Sized?"
