I do like the phrase arrewawesome <LOL>. Actually I need to say thanks to you Longbowman. If it weren't for you there wouldn't be a V4. <SALUTE>

Good to hear things with the USN are going so "stellar". Let me know how the USN get on with V4. There's some new stuff that should be helpful for you and should make your missions much easier to make and manage. Since you guys are the Elite of Artemis Gamers I put an "Easter Egg", a very small one, in there for you guys too <LOL>. I probably could do with explaining it so I might make a youtube vid and post it if I can't catch you guys on the teamspeak...

Sad it doesn't actually contain electrolytes...they're what plants crave.

Anyway, will this work with V2.12? (I think that's the version we're on...the one right before the War Server edition).

But what are electrolytes?... They're what plants crave...

Yeah it should work fine on 2.12 .

Also big shouts from me for sharing your work. Your GM sandbox makes the game much more interesting for our group!

One question I would have: how it is possible to shape a specific sector before player ships reach it, e.g. to add the necessary objects and remove unwanted ones.

Suppose I would like to prepare Elysium #15 while player ship is dealing with a situation elsewhere. I would need to press + through all sectors, edit and then skip back to player ship sector? Is there an easier way to do it? (due to limited time I could only test v3.1 yet)

Thanks a ton for the great work and help!

Unfortunetly Cibo there is only one playspace, the Sandbox's cheat there way around this by wipeing the play space clean then displaying the next sector in its place, moving the ships to an appropriate location based on your "entry" location to the sector. To preset up an area you would have to get your hands dirty in the editor pria to the session.

Well two things.

1. You can jump to sector 15 faster than just press "+" fifteen times by moving all of the player ships to the top edge of the map twice. Once will get you to sector 14, then again to sector 15. If you wanted to get there faster. It's important to remember the map layouts, which it be fair are super easy. Gate sector is 1 and then they spiral inwards clockwise.

2. As Fish pointed out changes you make inside the sandbox will not be saved, and the idea of this sandbox is that you can make and change things in real time. If you want something special to appear when they get to sector 15, for example, you'll have to make the script for it, open up the sandbox xml file, find the event for the relevant sector and past in the code manually. You could find it by searching for "Elysium - Sector 15" for example.

Does this help any?

I haven't messed around with the sandbox, yet. I like that it has added sounds.

Are you planning on any more documentation with it? I liked with version 3 having a map of the sectors, and I turned your list of commands into a cheat sheet so I didn't need the onscreen menus.

Edit: After monkeying about, I was unable to get the "Make Unhostile" key to work. Similar to Longbowman below, do I need to copy the sounds into the dat folder, or leave them in the mission folder?

Speaking of sounds...  Do the sounds come from the server or the Comms station?

Edit:  Played around and they are played via the Comms but as I was on one computer, I am not sure where the sound file will be heard from.  Server or Comms station.  Knowing will making it audible for the crew important as sometime the computers used for client stations have sound turned off.

The folder is used by the mission.  Don't save it anywhere.  Just load the total MISS file into the dat folder.    I am trying to come up with a quick reference guide for GM menu options like Arrew had for 3.0 but it will not be as fancy...

1. Will upload maps and youtube vid when I have time. You tube is blocked here so it's a little difficult.

2. Unhostile not playing nice? They may not look different on GM console but it should to science, tactical and helm. What happens when you try?
It worked in tests. Will try it again later when I have time. Worked in debugging and on the vid. Though being not hostile is not the same as them following Comms order, just means they won't attack you.

3. I think that sound comes out of the server, or so Corwin told me. To tell the truth I don't know. I play on a single laptop, so let me know how it works when or if you find out.

So I tried out unfriendly again. It does seem to work...ish. When I use it, nothing changes with the ships status (on any console), but the ship seems to have zero interest in chasing the player ship anymore. It still shows as a red ship with red text. Is this correct?
