No worries, I know the guy (Sir John) that owns that bridge and I had considered taking my set up to Gen Con this year. I didnt think I could get enough players to pay to play the same game but on a more immersive setup. Sounds like I might consider 2021.

Do you know if Artemis was busy the whole time?

It looked like there were 6 or so bridges so maybe they got some cool PVP or coop going on?

I don't think any multiplayer was going on.
Data Nerd Geekout inbound! (Heres the ticket sales for the non-deluxe bridges, player hours sold/unsold). The stacked graph shows total available for a given hour, the dark green are the ones that went unsold. You can see the huge reduction in both seats offered/filled in the overnights. The pie shows seats sold v unsold for the day

Yay, data! šŸ˜‹

I stopped by on Saturday to say hi and check out the setup. We chatted a bit about Artemis development. It sounds like they may have experienced a number of server crashes attributed to a memory leak running 2.7.1.

While there, better than half the bridges were busy running missions. It looked like most people playing were new to Artemis. The Artemis posters that Thom commissioned looked really good printed out at poster size and on display around the event.

Also - remind me not to complain about bright ballroom lights at Armada. The overhead stadium lights were pretty intense!

The guys running EE had a nice, dark room. Artemis at Gencon used to have one of those, but I think the mega jumbo bridge pushes the usage space into a category that requires something bigger, like the stadium.

Thank you. This helps me make planning much easier. Now I just gotta figure out costs and such, and if I can somehow turn the bridge into a giant photo booth with multiple camera angles and maybe even a printer so everyone gets a memento to take with them after the mission...oops I've said too much.

Dude, that is an awesome idea. Iā€™d get in touch with Derek Guder, who is the overall event coordinator for the con. He might be able to help you figure out if you can build your ship the way it was meant to be built :) and where you might have to build it. Good guy to know.
