Captain, you fail at this.

To Amnaught, artemisspeak.org is the address of a teamspeak 3 server. This is the primary place games go down on. You may not always find people on looking to play, but if you're patient and annoy someone named Corwin enough, eventually he and some people will take you out (I'm Corwin on the Teamspeak server).

For tips, I'd first recomend checking out Badgeguy's training videos if you haven't ever played before, as they give the basic rundown of each station. They can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRShnYymsuZtQqBjR73ed5rmmleyrrnRj

After that, I'd reccomend looking at the quicksheets Rew made. Below are the links

Keep in mind the quick sheets mainly cover advanced tactics, as opposed to really newbie friendly tactics, but these tactics tend to make the difference between newbie and amateur crews and the really good ones.

Aside from that, there are some groups you can join.

There's the Pirates, which are a very laid back group that don't really have a actual meet time, but you can often find some members of them on. I myself am one of them.

There is then the USN, which is a roleplaying group that meets every week at 20:30 UTC. We're small, but last session we got to take some new players on some of the hardest game modes possible and won. The new players seemed to have a blast and seemed to really do well! I myself am one of the leaders of the USN and we are currently looking into setting up some really cool training programs for newer players. Keep in mind though, the USN just formed recently, but is off to a good start. We should have a website and forums up and running by this Saturday (tomorrow!).

There is also the TSN, which was one of the founders of till I left. They're a cool group that's already set up and established, with some awesome missions and some friendly people in there. They also have a decent training program already set up for new players to join in on.

Finally, if you have the game on Steam (and even if you don't) I'd recommend joining the Unofficial Artemis Players Group. This can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/UArtemisPG

I'm one of the admins on there and regularly (to a degree) post events on there. It's a good place to find games, as well as a good resource for new players!

And finally, above all else, keep at it! Games take practice and time to get good at! I myself have been playing this game for longer than I like to admit (somewhere around 3000 hours), so I didn't become decent overnight! I'm still discovering new tactics to this day, mostly because of new people joining in and having a fresh perspective on things!

Hope I helped and have a good day!

Edit: I forgot to include links to the 3 major online groups.

Thanks. That's super kind of you. I'm glad people still like them no matter how old they are.

I was hoping to get the chance to GM a few games and run a couple of ships. But didn't get the chance. [smile]
