Running Artemis 2.0 on Win 7 64bit, 3770k CPU, Nvidia 580 GPU.

I have 2 monitors on the Video card

Main display is 1680 x 1050
2nd display is 1920 x 1080

When trying to use Full Screen Windowed server in 2nd display (1920 x 1080),
it shows a strip of Windows desktop on the bottom(small) and right side (about a 12th of the screen width). When starting a second instance of Artemis as a client on the main display (1680 x 1050), the client uses the whole screen

If I reverse the client and server instances, the 2nd display (1920 x 1080) stills shows the windows desktop strip.

When I exit either instance, I get this message box

Game Window

The D3D device has a non-zero reference count, meaning some
objects were not released

OK

Same problem, found a reason for it. Might not apply to yours.

Artemis v2.0, Win7 64-bit, i7-3770K, ATI Radeon 3800 (I know, I know)
2 monitors, both 1920x1080

Similar symptoms. Primary monitor works in FSW, secondary appears correct but shifted sideways onto the primary monitor. Your monitors have different heights, so that would explain vertical offset.

Source of problem appears to be a docked application. If the application is not docked or is minimized, FSW on secondary works fine.

I would prefer this to work over top of the docked app, but at least identifying it gives a workaround.

Same message on exit. This feels more multi-monitor related.

I found that if you set the taskbar to autohide, the full screen windowed will work correctly.

For me, it was because the second monitor was a higher resolution than my first. Simply reversing which was my primary and secondary worked for me (might not for you).

jpj625,
Not sure what you mean when you say docked app

russjudge,
No difference whether autohide of taskbar is on or off

pupbrad,
For me, it was because the second monitor was a higher resolution than my first. Simply reversing which was my primary and secondary worked for me (might not for you).

Reversing the primary monitor did work, but not my preferred choice as I can't easily see the 2nd monitor for mouse control.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

Incidently, also still getting the d3d error whether 1 or 2 instances of Artemis that I'm running.

I had this problem in 1.702. The game seems to read the primary monitor's resolution and set all "full screen windowed" instances to that resolution, regardless of what your other monitor setting are. I am using a flatscreen TV with HDMI input for my main viewer which is right next to my computer desk. Once I reset the resolution on the TV to match my desktop, it worked like a champ. I run three instances on two monitors and a TV and everything is perfectly full screen and I can move between them with no issues.

I hope this helps you out.

I get the D3D error on exit, and I only have one monitor. Fullscreen or windowed doesn't seem to make any difference.

Glad to hear you found something that worked. Since the secondary monitor isnt all that convenient as a main, try turning down the resolution on it to the same or lower resolution than your main and that should fix the issue as Trayce said.
