Know what will really complete the immersion experience? If you found a way to make the mobile home shake whenever you get hit! [biggrin]

Well, we thought of that so what we going to do is add 4 6000watt 15in down fire subs set on a trigger that will go off when hit [smile] in hopes that will do enuff.

We were not able to get the mobile home we got a 16x40 building.

With all that space available,  have you thought much about other in-ship activities or controls that won't/can't be modeled by Artemis?  Cabin (non-dmx?) lighting, room-to-room audio or video comms, HVAC controls and the like?

My little bridge fits into about 150 sq. ft.  Your bridge is 3x as big, which is awesome!  What all are you planning on doing with that abundance of space (I'm jealous even before hearing your answer.  hehe..)

hehe well here it goes this is what is on the books to be done at this time,

We will have video comms below the main screen where a gm will play the bad guys...etc

there will be on ship mishaps that will require hands-on to repair kinda like puzzles.

the gm will trigger events in the ship aside from what Artemis can do [smile]

like stations going out and having to find out how to bring them back up like connecting wires in the right order at the same time you could be under attack with a down station [smile].
and much more and we taking ideas as well...[smile]

But the pride and joy...==== we will have a full function warp core that will extend the engineering dep to 2 people as the core will play an important part of this ship..

And the control room will be hidden where the gm is.

Hint dont let it overload HEHE.

And it will be environmentally controlled, each station will have a fan option as well.

As stated, I don't have nearly the space you have, BUT I would like to collaborate with you on some of these functions.  I'm currently focusing on the control panels and was also planning on the "broken wires" section and other ship functions that are currently outside the normal operation of the game.  I'm also hopefully going to be able to craft an "iso linear chip" bank that will hopefully have in-game functions at some point as well.

I have to admit that's pretty cool.  Still...probably I wouldn't go for the following reasons:

1 - It's not close to me.  If I'm going to drive or fly for a vacation, well, you're competing with Hawaii.
2 - I'm not currently part of an Artemis crew/team that would go together and I wouldn't want to do that solo or with a bunch of strangers.

Now I'm not trying to discourage you, but rather, make a suggestion or two that might overcome those objections.  I suspect that those objections apply to a lot of people, not just me.

While the full ship is great, you might want to also have the "just the bridge for normal, one hour-ish play".  This would make it easier for people to play with strangers.  You can deal with strangers for an hour, but for a day or two in close quarters?  Not so much.

Since it's in a trailer, will it be mobile?  Could you move it around to fairs and the like?  That might gain you some business from people that have never heard of Artemis before and wouldn't travel for it.

You might be able to make it modular.  So you could have (and move around) with just the bridge.  Then when you're at your home location, attach the bridge to the rest of the ship.

I'm sure there are many other things that you could do to make your project more attractive and saleable.

Good Luck!

Thank you for your feedback... we wasent able to get the trailer we have a 16x40 building and the simulations will be 1-2 hours per sim but depending on how this does we are talking about doing a mobile bridge.
I can't delete the first post I did about the trailer.

Do you have to use any of your space for a lobby or 'staging' area BEFORE you get into the "ship"??

We going to close in the porch for that... We are looking into a smaller building if we need it.

I think you have wonderful ideas!

Depending on the level of LARPing you expect, you might want space to store a selection of costumes in various sizes near the "lobby." You might also want a dressing room that includes a sink and mirrors for players who enjoy wearing special effects makeup.

I like this idea. I would have an option for a random encounter in the middle of the night. So have the bedrooms rigged with alarms and lights. At a random time at night or the morning have said alarms and lights go off alerting the crew to an attack. I would love that level of emersion.
