I'm trying to play the Demo version with my family to see if we want to purchase the full version, but we keep getting the following error when trying to connect other computers to the server: Failed Connection Attempt

Any suggestions on how to connect? I've already tried disabling the antivirus and we don't have a router as we live in an apartment complex that is all interconnected

Are you trying to connect with anyting other than Weapons or Helm? The demo is limited to those stations and may be what's causing the problem

Thanks for the comment. After creating a server with one computer I tried to connect to that server with another computer, but to my knowledge it didn't give me an option to connect as Helm or Weapons. It just states Connect to Server, without an option of Helm or Weapons.

I've disabled my antivirus protection (Symantec) and when I try to disable Windows Firewall it states that the Windows Firewall is controlled by the 3rd party protection (Symantec).

Any other thoughts? Do I need to open up ports or anything? If so, how?

That is true, you connect to server and then select stations...are all devices on the same network?

Yes, all devices are using the same internet wifi connection. Should we try to hard connect them through a router?

You could, but it shouldn't matter. Are they all using the demo game?

Somewhere here I once read that a WiFi HoSpot is NOT the same as {i.e. will NOT work in place of} a real router. Not sure what your config is, just throwing that out there/here.

Thanks for all the comments. I purchased my own router and it now works. Thus, I think we have two routers, one hidden in the wall owned by the apartment complex and the one that I bought.
