Oh, I see.  Yeah, I've started looking into it recently - I've been doing it all by hand until now, but yeah, DaveThaler's program is pretty slick.  My panel is mostly focused on the actual structure of DMX and how Artemis interacts with your hardware, so I think knowing how it all works at a code level is pretty important (and is probably sufficient for simple bridge setups).

I love the fact that the Artemis Bridge Tools expands the available DMX cues and fixes some of the broken ones, and the simplifying of organizing large DMX setups is really attractive.  I think folks like davisn456 would have a better appreciation of that, considering his bridge setup.  I think it's certainly worth mentioning, and I probably will at the panel, but I'll be focusing on DMX basics.

This is an observation for DMX tools controlling Hue lights.  We are noticing an error when dealing with rest states, value 0, no light in the commands. Turn light on ( 0 to 100) .  We see 0  255 then ramp to 100. A flash of light then it settles in. This is also the case when turning the light off (100 to 0) a Flash of light before 0.
Ramping or switching between values works flawlessly 25 to 200, 150 to 50. Long as you do not use 0.
Turning on and off the light seems to be where the flashes occur. Transitioning between on and off the flash occurs. Transitioning between two active colors works flawlessly .  Somewhere in the command is sees a value of 255 when dealing with 0.

Controlling the lights from other applications fade in and fade out smoothly. (our control group for testing, the given.)
I hope this gives you enough information to find the problem.
David soon as you get a new code I'm more than willing to test again. Thanks

It does, I've just been able to reproduce this locally and will work on tracking it down.

Just released v2.3 which fixes issues with Hue lights.  Thanks William for helping test.

New update seems to cause crashes with Artemis server and/or clients running off of the same pc as DMX tools.

If you're running Artemis v2.3, yes I'm working on more fixes due to protocol changes in the latest Artemis version.
