Okay, the DMX is supposed to work with 2 or more bridges now. However, how do we do that in 2.0? Anyone play with this yet? Do you need to write a big DMX file with ship identifier? Or do we attach DMX to the Main View Screen?

Currently the server has my USB to DMX and is working on a single ship. I would think that in a multiple ship setup, the server would not belong to a single ship, and each ship would have its own view screen. So do we need a USB 2 DMX controller for each ship?

Any help so I can plan my next ship would be great.

I tried making my normal 1st ship my 2nd ship to see if the lights would work, and they did!  Just hook up a second DMX controller to the computer that is acting as the "Main Screen" for that ship and it lights up!

Yep, you need a USB-DMX converter for each computer running a Main Screen, and that computer runs the local DMXCommands.xml based on cues from the central server. This way, if someone brings their rig with them to a multi-bridge setup, nobody needs to rewrite their DMX files - just plug and play. And, since 2.0 supports a theoretical 8 bridges, that's a lot of lights [smile]

Thanks, I will add another USB to DMX on my next order so I can start on bridge 2's lights. I was super happy to find that the DMX 1.7 file ran without a hitch in 2.0. Also excited that there are more DMX commands, now I need more lights.......
