Hello, Artemis community. Thought I'd introduce myself here.

I am a current video intern at a newly opened community center in Boise. Mainly, I operate in the multimedia studio, where I help produce video content. Recently, my manager has expressed interest in expanding into virtual reality and gaming.

Thus, I have expressed my own interest in starting Artemis sessions in the studio. Especially because our editing lab is perfectly set up for Artemis.

Right now, I'm still pitching the idea to them, but so far I've gotten positive feedback.

I've been toying with the idea of mentioning Artemis to my co-workers. It is a very good way to build teamwork and cooperation. I imagine it could be used as a tool in teambuilding exercises.

I definitely think it will encourage teamwork and cooperation. The community center's mission is based around connecting people together and inspiring them, often through technology and innovation.

I agree, notsabbat. I rediscovered Artemis (had only heard about it long before) when I started working here, and realized a perfect bridge was right where I was sitting.

I even have the stations mapped out. We have a tall director's chair for the Captain in the back, to see all the monitors. In the back row are Engineer, Science and Comms since they're most in direct contact with the Captain. In front are Weapons and Helm, since they should be closer to the view screen, and are more in coordination with each other.

I suppose a map could be on the monitor between them.

Sweet setup.  Good luck w/ the Artemis-as-team-building pitch!
The Captain could have his own map.  Like Science, but w/out Scan button.

Thanks, Dupe. There seems to be positive feedback, but things move kinda slow here. Ironically, during a college tour, the students asked if we ever had gaming nights.

I was actually considering having a long-range-scanning map between Weapons and Helm up front, so they get a better idea of where things are.

It might not be obvious by the OP picture, but the Captain can sit in a high "director's chair" that actually allows them (or an instructor) to be able to see every monitor in front of them. I kinda like the idea of the Captain having to depend on Science, but perhaps we can get a laptop setup for the Captain's Map.

EDIT: As well, I'd love for players to get the experience to sit in the "captain's chair."
