It WAS posted by his community manager, so ultimately Thom is still responsible for it, considering he assigned Brian to be in charge of this.

Wow, the big match is already this saturday? If I don't see you until then, have fun! I'll talk to Captain and get together a short list of questions (if we can think of any) to have you ask Thom. I'll try to keep it no more than 3 or so, so don't worry too much.

I believe the Trade Show Booth Bridge project is Brian Johnson's thing. Brian is the Community Manager and he runs the bridges at Gencon and (I assume) some other large conventions. If you don't see Brian on these forums try his Artemis SBS Facebook page, that's where he hangs out.

Brian no longer lists himself as the Community Manager for Artemis on his Facebook page. This occurred after his self imposed exile from Facebook.  He is not responding to direct messages to him on Facebook by non-friended people.

Unless Brian is active and available here, he is not a Community Manager for Artemis.

BadgeGuy I find your data to be incorrect. His facebook does still list community manager. I do know that he's been embattled elsewhere briefly and facebook comms with anyone not on your your friendslist is dodgy at best. Facebook does not alert for message in the 'other' inbox.
Life ebbs and flows..

@jgreene,

If he still lists himself as the Community Manager on Facebook, it has been removed from the public side of things and only available to those that he has friended, hence I can no longer see that description.

I concur that the Other Mailbox is difficult to keep up on and can be overlooked.

I will respectfully disagree with the "briefly" portion of the description and stand by my assertion that he is not active as he has not been to the forums since July 25th of this year and did make himself unavailable on Facebook to everyone for numerous weeks.

I'm guessing the contest died a slow death?
Personally, I put a lot of time and effort into my entry, and although the $500 would have been great for whoever would have won, I think each entrant should at least be given a boxed copy of the current game version for their efforts, since the contest was never resolved by its sponsor.
Any comments?

Yea, seems like this is completely dead... Can't say I'm really all that surprised, though...

Some years ago I was president of a nonprofit trying to save a historic steamship. We sponsored a fundraising contest featuring a prize that consisted of a four-day cruise to Ensenada. Even though we eventually failed in our efforts to save the ship we made good on the contest and prize.

Yea, when something like this contest gets made, even if the contest falls through, there still should be some sort of reward. If there isn't, it creates a TON of mistrust between the community and the organization/company/individual doing it all. I'm sure Thom doesn't want this mistrust, so he should really do SOMETHING with this... For all we know, this could have been done to get some bridge ideas for free without needing to pay a designer or come up with one themselves (though I really hope that wasn't it).
