This was concept art to be used at a convention with multiple bridges in different rooms. It would have been a way to direct crews to their ships, meeting places, parties, etc. Docking Ring D420.jpg

Looks good!

I think the words "Docking Bay" are pretty standard SF lingo, but on that particular station artwork it looks more like a "Docking Port." In nautical terms both bay and port imply something the ship enters, but electronic technology has given us the term port as something you plug into.
