Is there anywhere that it's possible to look at all the default skyboxes?  Mission scripts give the option of choosing a skybox, which can give a significant sense of mood and place.  I don't see any way to see what they each look like, though, other than to create a script specifying each skybox, then fire up the program 29 times and take screenshots.  Is there a better way?

Thanks!

All of the skyboxes are in the artemis/art folder. Each folder (sb00, sb01, sb02...) is an individual skybox.

There are some people on the forums that have posted sets of their own skyboxes, as well (some 2k ones, too) if you are interested in changing the skyboxes.

The skyboxes selected by the game run from 10 to 30, I think. The first ten, sb00 through sb09, are from pre-2.0 and were included only so older scripts would not break. (On the skybox, anyway)

You might consider that, since the older skyboxes are less details. Of course, there are a lot of people who don't like the bright colors in the newer skyboxes.

I feel silly now!  I had checked the image files in the dat folder, but somehow overlooked the aptly-named art folder.  Thank you!

I think the game picks from 00-09 now, too. I had some issues with my plex mod. I left 00-09 as skyboxes with planets, but I made 10-29 just starfields. Periodically I would still get a planet one when I wasn't using scripts. Maybe it's a 2.4 thing? Or, maybe I was using my set of skyboxes.
