Howdy folks, I haven't spent much time with the community as a whole, but I have met some great folks, and seen some great builds out there. But as impressive as these are they are a bit beyond me right now.

So I have started piecing together a printed book that can be put out ie Training Manual as a prop item at games meet ups and cons. I have a large number of pics I pulled to the games box program that can be setup on a scrolling picture frame or just printed out and put up in an artistic fame that would help add to the look of a bridge.

I am wondering what other props folks have made aside from these amazing control panels. And would there be any interest in building a collection of books, prints and other printable materials that could add flavor and props to flush out a bridge build?

I will be uploading a copy of books I made for each station. By working with the (Canadian) 42'nd fleet I have made a couple of printable books for general information useful to members of the 42'nd fleet, procedures alert statuses and attack patterns. These may not be useful for every one, but as a baseline to make a Training Manual for your own ship it's a great way to start. I have also pulled a great deal of information from the Wiki pages to flush out the general information and how to material as well.

While non of this is meant to be canon material I hope it can inspire others to create similar prop items and books that would add more flavor and feeling to any bridge. I am adjusting the books right now to add more graphics and a better layout to support double sided printing. When it's ready I will be uploading them here so other folks can see what I've made, and perhaps be inspired to make their own.

So here is on of the files I mentioned in my first post, however the general file appears to be too large to load here. It's 2.6mb which is bigger than the 2mb limit. If there is any interest in this little project I can find another way to share these files. And of course I am interested in anything anyone else has come up with for simple prop items on a budget.

I have been kicking around the idea of this kind of prop for a while, mostly focused on my control panels. However, something related to general gameplay sounds like a great idea.

Given realistic constraints on hobby time, two things have been holding me back: 1) building control panel stuff and 2) deciding on a graphical theme for the manuals.

One retro look that I have pondered is something similar to these books:

While I am not done with version 2.1 of all the general books, I could be convinced with a few detailed pictures of your control panels to replace some of the graphics in what I have in order to make a control specific book to augment your bridge setup. It would be as simple as replacing a few pictures. Look up the Windsor Artemis group on facebook for the files I have already finished. I've posted Vr1.1 there.
