Thom is hard at work making updates to Artemis and as usual we will beta test them at my place. He hasn't promised anything specific, but he has hinted that we mission script writers are going to love the new version. It may also include an all new type of mission!

I expect bug fixes and new features galore.

The party starts at 4:00. We will set up at least five bridges plus fighter squadrons. If people BYO consoles we will set up as many as three more bridges. These parties  generally get 50-100 Artemis players at these parties.

(Red Alert!)

This really is an Artemis party, but since it's Halloween weekend I expect we will see some science fiction-ey costumes. In fact, this will be your chance to see me in a science fiction costume!

My address:

2393 Coventry
Cleveland Heights, OH 44118

If you are coming please let me know.

To be invited to future Artemis testing please friend me on F-Book.

Don't worry about bringing your bridge. We will have plenty of capacity. But if you ever do want to bring your bridge again maybe we can arrange a more prominent space for it.

Hi Mike,

I'd love to be invited, but until I have my own teletransport I´m gonna stay here in Brazil.

The wife and I are planning to come, sans bridge also. Would you like me to bring the Mumble server for bridge to bridge comms again?

If it's not inconvenient, sure. It could be a good experience for the crews.

Typically midnight, but it's been known to roll past by an hour or so [smile]

At this potluck we will be playtesting a whole new type of mission: The BioMech Infestation!

In the latest beta software, the Stage 4 Adult BioMechs can reproduce litters of Stage 1 Baby BioMechs. Imagine a peaceful sector invaded by a swarm of hungry BioMechs. Suddenly biological life finds itself in a death struggle against the relentless logic of mechanical life! Nearby Skaraans may take advantage of the chaos to raid your friendly ships and stations. If you don't act quickly the sector will be teeming with BioMechs and the only food source left will be you!

Hello Mike, just a short reply to say I sent you a message in private a few days ago. So, whenever you have time, can you check it   [smile]

I have replied to your message.

Of course if you come to this playtesting potluck you can meet Thom face-to-face and discuss it.

I think I'll come if I can get my friend to ride with me. He doesn't want to haul his desktop all that way, though, so would he be able to borrow a computer?

Yes, Thom himself supplies 4-5 complete bridges worth of computers.

Note that there will be minors in attendance. So far there has never been a problem with alcohol, but if you bring a computer please clear your browser cache. The TSN's littlest cadets don't need to see your kinky Torgoth dungeon fetishes. [wink]
