Hi, all!  We're a small, second-year tabletop gaming con, and we really want to have a dedicated Artemis gaming space for the whole convention.  The con is October 21-23 just outside beautiful Asheville, NC (website here). We have enough computers to run one bridge, space to run two, and need someone to be on call for trouble shooting the entire con, and actively heading up several sessions (though we will have other folks willing to lead some sessions, so you'll have some time off for other gaming experiences).

In exchange for being the Artemis Minion, you get a free ticket to the entire event, a free t-shirt, and our profound and eternal gratitude.  Any questions, please ask!

Too far away for me, but I'll post it in our Eastern Front group

This sounds awesome I really wish I could help directly.

My crew and I are all in the Charlotte area so it isn't too bad of a drive.  I'll push this out to them and see if they have any interest/availability.  Can the con provide lodging?

I also have a contact with the local RMN chapter and I know some of them have played artemis before so I'll try and get them informed if my crew are all busy.

Sounds like a great event and I hope it goes off well!

I've been doing lan rooms and the Artemis at MACE in Charlotte for a few years now.  I am a bit tired of hauling it out though, but I am close and prepared.  Entice me.

I could probably do it.  I can't drive at the moment (had a few seizures-none Artemis related, but am on meds that should be controlling things so long as I get enough sleep), but that should be resolved by the end of September with my next blood test.

I've helped to run Artemis at ConCarolinas, worked with the Horizons bridge simulator at HonorCon in Raleigh, and could definitely show up in uniform for the weekend to keep things running. I managed to get up to Armada the past two years. I can troubleshoot most problems I'd expect to have with Artemis, and if all else fails, there's always turning it off and back on again, or swapping out for a second computer (I have a spare or two I could bring).

I guess I'm a definitely maybe, once I know about driving, which will hopefully be the end of September.  Or if I can find somebody willing to pick me up from Charlotte and bring me to Asheville and back.  I'll also have to find a place to stay during this event, and with planning to make it to HonorCon the following weekend, I'm going to be a little cash poor.
