I just upgraded my systems to windows 10 creator update - and now Artemis crashes right while starting or I get the screen resolution dialog which is super small sized so I can't configure the game nor start it. Anybody facing the same issue or has a solution for this?

This is a new issue to me; I've never heard of it before. Maybe someone else has had something similar happen.

Try uninstalling Artemis and reinstalling. That's all I can think of for now.

I'll give reinstalling a try but the strange thing is it happened on all 3 systems I so far upgraded to the latest version of windows 10. I had Artemis running stable on windows 10 so far but since the "creator" update I only get to the dialog where you can pick the screen resolution etc. Unfortunately the window is so small you can not make the needed selections nor you can hit the start game button. On one system the game even crashes when opening this dialog. Here I actually had a fresh installation of windows 10 and installed Artemis 2.5.1 and the latest bridge tools. Has anybody already upgraded to the latest windows 10 version and have Artemis still working properly?

Maybe it's an issue with the Grafik card - I seen they also got an update when doing the creator update - all my systems have an envidia card. Thanks for your feedback so far Nashoba - which windows 10 version are you running? 32 or 64 bit, home, pro or however they are called?

This happened to me. Kept opening it and had the same issue of a tiny screen. I reset the computer, tried opening as admin, changed my screen resolution... nothing worked for a while. Now there seems to be no problems. I have no idea how it was fixed, it just works fine now...
Just keep trying it and try a restart.

Thanx for the feedback Xavier, so there is hope :-). Would be interesting if more experience this issue - as usual never change a running system - evening Microsoft wants you to :-). So I will continue trying ....

Update - resolved all issues. Changing screen resolution helped with one system, changing scaling and desktop positioning helped with the other and a full re-installation solved the last systems issues (crashing). Hopefully not to many experience such a shock after upgrading your windows :-). Thanks to all your help and feedback!

Experienced it again when I plugged a second monitor into my laptop. I fixed it by resetting the screen resolution. I thinm it is simply an issue with screen res. I swapped resolution back and forth and things were fixed!

The creators update is windows version 1703. I'll keep an eye on the issue, more systems been upgraded to windows 10 creator update for my whole bridge. So I'll might experience it again. Strange enough it just started after upgrading to the latest windows version. Maybe it is a bug after all?

I had this same issue.  Windows 10, and NVIDIA card.

Trying out the DEMO (it's not impressive to have issues like this for someone evaluating whether to drop $40 or not).

I had to load up the game, and the resolution selection screen is super small, can't even see the "windowed" or "full screen" options, let alone the start button.

Quitting the game and restarting it had no effect.

Like someone suggested above, I had to go change the resolution of my monitor through Windows (didn't change anything about the game itself) and then I changed it back to normal.  Then I quit the tiny window and loaded the game back up after doing this little resolution dance then I could finally see the whole resolution select window and get started.

Now that it's done that once, it loads up fine each time and I can't get it to go back to the small mode.

So I don't know what setting got saved where, but some app compatibility must have kicked in to get the thing going.  I never ran it as an Administrator, so whatever changed must have either be a user setting, or a service or driver making a system-wide change.

If I remember correctly, something in the recent Windows update borked the way the initial game window was generated. As of right now, the best fix is to just switch your resolution a couple of times. Thom does know of the issue, though, and is working on a fix.
