I was thinking of the menu's.... but I never thought of trying to adjust them as buttons. Thanks for the suggestion Mike. [smile]

Last I heard, the size of the menus couldn't be changed, but the size of buttons on the play area could. I was thinking that it wouldn't be too hard to just simulate a menu system using resizable buttons on the screen, if you wanted to go that route. Using the built-in menus would be preferable, of course, but you could build a special script for a low-resolution monitor.

If the menu buttons are resizable, then the issue is just providing a different size in the script.

In fact, in either case, you can probably use a menu command itself to resize the menu. Have options for "Small", "Medium" and "Large". Or provide keybinds to do it.

(Actually, I don't know that buttons can be destroyed, either. But if you can either destroy the menu or resize it, there should be a way to make it work)

Sadly the menu's cannot be resized. Also menu's and buttons cannot be destroyed a far as I can tell...

The menu's as they are now are very wide, I think about half as wide would allow for better functionality as well as more menu's. I know Thom may be changing it before general release so, fingers crossed.

Actually, Xavier's video reminded me that there is a clear_gm_button command. So yes, you can create a menu system if you don't like the default one, or even recreate the menu as needed to keep its size down.

Yes.

I made set_gm_button, clear_gm_button, and if_gm_button, and they seem to work fine anytime.

Cool.  The advantage of having two sandboxes in production [wink] .

I'll throw up a vid about what I've come up with so far.

The thing is I really did want 3 menu's but its more optimal for two.

I currently still have version 2.2.0 installed on my PC.

How do I install 2.3.0 in a way that I can access the 2.2.0 version as well in case the upgrade does not work (or not all my friends have upgraded their stations in time)?

Questions like this should be asked in the Troubleshooting section - just start a new thread with your question.

In answer to your question, just make a copy of your 2.2 install folder and apply the upgrade to that folder. You can now run Artemis from either folder depending on what version you want to run.

2.4 is released as well, and you can duplicate either the 2.2 or 2.3 folder to install the patch to.
