I posted details in another thread, but here's the patch notes:

Gun camera indicators have been fixed.

Fighters and carriers have been implemented, as a first pass.  The Medium carrier holds 5 fighters; the dreadnaught now has 2.

Changed the overall difficulty of the game in several ways, including:
--Making the enemy ships at higher levels hit a bit harder
--Making the enemy ships at higher levels faster and more maneuverable
--Making enemy fleets move as a group more intelligently
--Making the enemy skaraan ships more troublesome, with a new shield-vampire ability (IF they also have shield drain, the drain reinforces their own shields)

added "tauntImmunityIndex" as a value the script can change for enemy ships.  0,1, or 2, corresponding to the taunt immunities in vesseldata.xml for each race

anomalies are now scaned on Science like ships and monsters.  Science can now identify the type of anomaly.

The game master console now cannot be shared; only one client (connected to a server) may be the Game Master.

Made a completely internal change that affected many parts of the code.  I was using a variable improperly (from a code-safe POV) and fixing it required many small
changes throughout the code.

??Fixed a problem causing crashes when monsters were killed.  This problem would leave extra derelicts lying around, and turn piranhas into classic monsters.

Accepted the vesselData.xml changes suggested (and produced) by ryleyra.

What the last note means is, the Destroyer and Escort now do 3 damage per difficulty level, not 7 damage per level. The rest is text changes.

This is fantastic news. I am looking forward to hear exciting news from your IOS team. Metal integration faster graphics overall code improvement. A good time to shine. Improvements on observer mode graphics and being able to airplay to Apple TVs hooked large screens or projectors.

Santa I have been really good. Code is Art,  and  the best  elves are coders. It would be nice if Artemis becomes an editor's choice.

The Steam version is still 2.2. Any word on when it will get the update?

I see there are hotkeys for the fighters' in-flight functions (beams, missiles, boost, brake & dock) but there don't seem to be any hotkeys for actually launching the fighters. If they weren't added, then that just seems like an oversight. Please add them in the next release.

My instincts tell me that it won't be updated until after Armada 2. This seems to be a beta test for the fans, not the finished update.

I believe Return will launch your fighter. However, you won't be able to choose your fighter unless you click on the button. So I don't know whether Return launches the first fighter available, or doesn't work at all.

EDIT: Sorry, Return launches MISSILES. So no, there's no key to launch from the Fighter Bay. Maybe they could be mapped to keys 1 to 5? (Or 2, for the Dreadnought)

When you're in a Fighter, the VIS screen shows burning vapor trails in front of you.   Looks like a bug.

No, I just released 2.3.0 on Steam, and for sale on my two web sales providers.

So everyone should have 2.3.0 now!

In release 2.3.0 was a second light source added to the overall environment? (lower light)

I'm getting a crash when I launch the game, more often than not. It's right before the welcome screen. Debugging with Visual Studio gives me this message:

Unhandled exception at 0x013A16DA in Artemis.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.
