Note that all of the Canonical Battles may be on Friday. The final one on Saturday night depends on how the Friday battles went, so it might not make the canon.

I'm kind of curious as to what the game mastered missions are. Will they be limited to one or more crews? Is it part of the cononical application?

I'm not sure, but unless the Game Mastered missions mean either a GM mission or a choice of a scripted mission, I'm guessing the Game Master will just "wing it".

If the Canonical Missions are anything like last year, they're not Game Mastered. They were pre-scripted with triggered events, or the one I watched was.

Also, let me point out my War Server Proxy, just in case you missed it, here: http://artemis.forumchitchat.com/post/artemis-war-server-proxy-7946795 I'm hoping to post another beta version today. I don't know if Thom wants to try out untested software at Armada, but maybe it could be tried out on a couple of bridges that want the option to team up.

Game Mastered missions are not usually canonical. These missions have at least one Game Master playing the roles (possibly doing voices and even wearing costumes) as a crew works its way through an adventure.

Saturday night we have a unique experimental mission that might be canonical. Here is how it will work:

There will be two canonical battles on Friday, one at 2:30and one at 7:00. These will both involve different TSN crews in the same war fighting against Ximni, Torgoth, and Skaraan forces. They will be recorded by a documentary film crew and become part of the Artemis canon.

On Saturday at noon we will hold a LARP which is set in the same war. In the LARP a TSN crew must deliver an Away Team to a base then defend that base against hordes of enemies while the Away Team LARPs its mission. I will be Game Mastering for the bridge crew while Gryphon runs the LARP, which will involve numerous costumed characters including Ximni, Arvonians, and Kraliens. This mission may not be canonical since it is likely the players will do something that violates the canon. There will also be very little documentary coverage of this mission because the LARP characters will travel all over the hotel.

Then on Saturday at 7:00 we will have the final "canonical" battle. This will be a multi-bridge battle in which three TSN crews (including a carrier with fighters) will take on a highly trained and experienced Ximni crew with a large escort force. I want this battle to be canonical but since it will take place in the ballroom we will be unable to properly document the event. It may end up becoming the stuff of TSN legends. Either way, it should be a lot of fun.

I do like the idea of doing a conical game with my crew on our own bridge

Is there a list of which Game master sessions are which missions or do you sign up for a time slot and pick the mission? Will there be/is there a page showing what time slots have been taken?

Is there a more detailed schedule out there somewhere perhaps with event descriptions?  I guess I'm just out of the loop but I don't feel like my crew and I can make good planning decisions based on the information posted on the site.

I do not know about the Game Mastered sessions in the ballroom. The Role Play sessions are Game Mastered games on the canonical bridge. My tentative schedule for these is:

4:00 Friday "The Ultimate Weapon"
4:00 Saturday "Mission to Hell"

This assumes, of course, that I have these two sufficiently de-bugged by then.
