Do you want to PM me your e-mail address and I'll send them to you? [biggrin]

I have permission now! Must be something to do with newly registered users being restricted. Thanks for the offer though, Arrew. We'll be playing this over Easter Bank Holiday. My group have played a few times but not since 1.x so I'm hoping this scripted mission will be a huge success. Will report back with tales of derring do...

I'm getting a 404 on the Dropbox links [frown] Any chance you can zip em and put them somewhere please? Want to introduce my crew to Artemis with this campaign.

EDIT: Disregard, I saw the link in the previous page.

OK cool.

If you find them too easy some of the other missions and campaigns are a bit harder combat wise. [biggrin]

Oh it's not that great. Was just something I was playing with at the time. By the way 5e is way better than 4e D&D. If you really do want it I can have a hunt through my old files and e-mail it to you at some point?

We tried this mission recently in Portland. It went pretty well, but some of the fighters we had gotten into skirmishes with forced us to make an executive decision to fly through a minefield. Continuing from there, we traveled into a previously unspawned sector and impacted a minefield that wasn't previously on our sensors. We figured out pretty quickly that each mine-wall only appears properly when you enter from a certain, appropriate path. I can see that it would probably be twice as difficult to code (and twice as dangerous to play) if each mine-wall is spawned on sensors no matter which side of the wall you're on, but it would help in these situations...

Considering how old these missions are I'm amazed they still work! [biggrin]

I started getting my files together to make an updated version of these missions since people have been asking about them, but I have two questions or at least need a bit of feedback.

1... Does the community really want them? What's the desire for scripted mission these days?

2... A bit of a spoiler for episode one. There's an unsecured message that leads the players into a trap. What feedback is there about it? Did you get what was going on or was it unclear? Would an ambush be better in it's place?

Thanks.... [biggrin]

I have not played the Ardent missions as of yet one reason is because of the fear of them not working correctly and ruining new player experience. However I am much in search of (and in wanting) of scripted missions. I, and others I have played with, are super excited at playing locally and having a scripted mission that makes it feel as though we are playing a full on story campaign. It is exciting and exhilarating.

I for sure would look forward to the time every mission script will work with the most current version and possibly (hopefully) packaged with the full game to make it easier with new station installs. (however I know this would increase the size of the installer but it would just make it easier overall when getting others involved with the game just something to look forward to possibly one day)

So if you are looking for a vote on getting these works of art up to date you have mine in full support.

Edit**

I just took a look at the mission by myself. I think the ploy is pretty neat. I am definitely going to be playing these first chance I get. (hard to get everyone under one roof because of schedules)

I love me some good scripted missions, and our group understood the fake message ploy.

The most fun my crew has had with Artemis so far has been on the Ardent missions, though we haven't played them on 2.6.  My group is fairly casual, so we are less concerned with getting good enough to kill difficulty 10 enemies and more interested in getting into novel situations where we cooperate to save the (virtual) day.  While blowing up some enemies along the way of course.  Because "LAUNCH NUKE!" (and hopefully Weapons remembered to lock onto something before he launches near a starbase).

Id love to see an updated version as well. Its fun to take a break from straight combat and feel like youre in an episode.
