This is a campaign I made for Artemis.

While the missions can be played separately they are intended to be played in order and tell the story of the TSN Ardent’s exploits in the Drenni Cluster; diplomacy, espionage, sabotage, interstellar war, inter-dimensional travel and first contact all connected in an overall story.

I have tried to make the adventures more than just go here and destroy that. The captain will have to make life and death decisions and certain roles are of particular importance on different missions.

Episode One - Cause And Effect

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_One.xml

A diplomatic mission to the Drenni Cluster has unexpected consequences and life or death decisions for the Ardent’s Captain.

Episode Two - Lost Souls

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Two.xml

The COMMs officer becomes a code breaker to find lost souls.

Episode Two - Lost Souls (MISSION WITH NO CODE BREAKING REQUIRED)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Two_B.xml
An alternate version of Episode Two without the Puzzle Cracking - For if you're like me and don't like puzzle games.
Episode Two - Lost Souls Away Team Table Top RPG Document
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/Lost%20Souls%20-%20An%20Away%20Team%20Episode.pdf

Episode Three - Through The Looking Glass

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Three.xml

Prepare to travel beyond the final frontier.

Episode Four - Needle In A Hay Stack

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Four.xml

A good Science Officer can even find a needle in a hay stack.

Episode Five - The Wall

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Five.xml

It takes skill and luck to navigate through the maze like wall.

Episode Six - Convoy Of Perils

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Six.xml

Decisions and sacrifices have to made in the convoy of perils.

Episode Seven - Chasing Phantoms

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Seven.xml

The climax of the Ardent adventure.

The missions have all been tested and are made with a full crew in mind. Although I crewed all stations on difficulty level 1. So please increase the difficulty to an appropriate level for your crew’s skill.

TO INSTALL:        Download the xml files or open the documents, right click and save the files to your computer. Create and put them in a folder with the same name as the xml file and then put the folder in the Artemis Missions folder.

The default location being:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Artemis\dat\Missions

I hope you like playing the missions as much as I did making them. Please feel free to give positive feedback if you enjoy them. I'll try and add a pole to record which missions you like.

About how long would the campaign take total? If it's more than 4 or so hours, I may need to break it up into more than one session. Aside from that, this sounds awesome and I can't wait to try it all! I'll definately be recording my first go-through of it and posting it on youtube, though knowing my uploading schedual, it may take some months for it to actually get up there [tongue]

I really hope you enjoy it.

If you are RPing then there might be more than 4 hours of content.

If you do upload to YouTube please post me the link I would love to see it. [biggrin]

I am just wandering if I should upload some hints and tips, particularly for Lost Souls.

If your COMMS officer doesn't understand the encrypted signal, one of the asteroids in sector A1 to A5 is a hidden enemy base. Without understanding the encrypted transmission you will just have to hunt for it.

You may not want to see the vast majority of games I get recorded. A lot of times, there is some... undesireable thing that happens in them which ruins the fun of the video. Chances are if I play the campaign while recording, the teamspeak we all use will die or one of our officers will be robbed and we hear some random guy come on and say "Yo, so i'm taking this dude's computer..." because that's the luck I have when I press record [tongue]

Anywho, I still really want to get a runthrough of this going but haven't had enough people who have shown interest get online yet. I'd like to do it in no more than 2 sessions, but people seem to have commitment issues.

You don't need 6 players, just the stations. So you can double up..... Or in my case was sextuple up the stations [wink] .

I may just need to record myself going through them alone. I am quite capable of running ships on my own. The issue I have with this is it wouldn't be very fun to watch a video without crew interaction in it.

Just the though of something thinking of making a Youtube Vid of what I made makes me feel pretty psyched!  So I want to thank you for that.

I don't know how to play over the internet, or how stable it would be, but we could try assembling an online crew... Sadly I don't really have a crew either. Although my 4 year old son is actually not to bad on weapons.

I play online all the time and can say for a fact that the issue is that most people only get on sporadically at different times every day and have some serious commitment issues when a plan is put in place. I've organized events and crew meetings with people through the forums here or on Steam and most of the time, out of 5 people who said they would, only one or two actually shows up.

As for hosting, I can host just fine most of the time, even when recording.

What I would want for an online crew, which would be a lot to be asking of people aparently, is to have the same 5 or 6 people (me included) to get together two or three times and play through the campaign in a serious manner (I'm huge into roleplaying and find the lack of professionalism durring mission scripts when I play through them for the first time infuriating). The few times I can get a crew together for things like this, either half the crew doesn't show up or they take the whole thing as one big joke.

I've been spoiled by the TSN RP too much [tongue]

Actually... maybe I'll see if I can get the other commanders in the RP to run it with me... It's hard to get them all together considering we're from all different parts of the world, but one mission per week before our sessions would probably work.

I actually hate puzzle games myself... So... I have made an alternative version of Episode Two without the code breaking element. Here it is;

Episode Two - Lost Souls (NO CODE BREAKING REQUIRED)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/272034313/MISS_Ardent_Episode_Two_B.xml

Will try and update my original post with it too.

I totally agree with you Pupbrad.  I am a serious RPer, be it Artemis or D&D, and if one person treats it like a joke it ruins it for everyone.

And it’s hard enough getting people to play let alone RP. I have two kids and a busy job so I understand how hard it is to find time in our busy lives.

Also I live in China so playing games over the internet is always a problem because the great Chinese firewall slowing everything down.

I take my role on ship seriously. and if I set up a time to play I defiantly try to show and if not then I contact someone and let them know. anyway if a few people would like to try this in a serious rp. I'm up for it message me and we will talk about when.

Ah, not sure about the fact that you're in china... That may be an issue, but it may still be worth a shot. What times in UTC would you be available in? (I know UTC well and it IS the "Universal Coordinated Time" for a reason [tongue])

As for you Kidkitt, I'd love to have you, but would need to have a few others also say they would be available before we start getting anything organized.

I'm not sure how you calculate UTC but I am free Mon to Fri between 12pm to 2:30pm Beijing Time.

I think that's from 4am London time and 12am New York time.

But like I said I am worried about how bad the lag would be from China.
