This is a quick request, would it be possible to get usb joystick support added to the Android build?  Android supports joysticks (I believe in everything post 3.1), and for the portable bridge I'm setting up it would be so much nicer to give navigation a joystick vs. having them try and fly the ship solely with a 10.1in tablet at their disposal.  Multi-touch on tablets would be nice as well.

I'm more than willing to help with testing (or development for that matter).  It would be a great addition to the 14 Asus Transformer tablets sitting next to me waiting to get melded into custom stands.

Didn't even know that android devices had joystick support (though I guess with tablets, that's somewhat expected that one or two would have that out there).

Not sure if there would be a large enough base of people who would even be able to use this feature if it was included to make it worth adding in if it isn't already there, but I could definitely see that it would be useful (coming from a person who can't stand flying in Artemis without my PS3 controller).

I don't think (mind you I haven't seen the source so all bets are off) it would be hard to add, and most tablets have USB OTG ports on them, meaning a USB based joystick would work.  I think there's even some supported bluetooth controllers out there (I don't have any, so no idea if they work or not).

Would this be awesome: yes
Would this be awesome if this was working before the end of February: TOTALLY (that's when my next two bridges get unveiled)

But I can also be realistic, and this is a feature request and not a genuine bug report.

Well, joystick/gamepad support for Android would be a step towards official OUYA support, so...

I was especially dissappointed when finding out that the Android app doesn't support multi-touch. Would just be too cool to push up multiple sliders simultaneously on engineering. [biggrin]

I don't believe that the game itself, on any platform, supports multi-touch.  You're not losing anything touch related using the Android.

Xperia phones have native Dual Shock support so they would benefit too
