Dave Thaler and I brought our bridges to Norwescon this year, and things went pretty well.  We were in a different space than last year and it worked much better. Both of us had recently improved DMX LED setups and had made an effort to make our setups more portable.

I've posted some unedited videos clips to youtube. The last couple of videos were of a special Sunday event where the had us set up in the large ballroom. There were additional large monitor that we used and a projection screen in the center that we used for the observer screen.  (the observer screen is not running in much of those particular clips because we ran PVP and didn't want to give up any intel)  The last PVP mission was quite fun (and featured Dave and his wife as opposing captains [eek]). It made me want to try more PVP with balanced/experienced players.

We were asked to come back next year and hopefully we might be able to arrange an even better room setup.

In video #3 I see the white beret of a Royal Manticoran Navy skipper manning the port side bridge station.   Must be from one of our Tenth Fleet chapters.  [smile]

That looks like an amazing event. Based on those videos everyone had a lot of fun! [cool]

Here's some stats from Norwescon 39 based on data logged by Artemis Bridge Tools, which both of us were using.  We used Artemis 2.3.0 for all missions, and all missions included newbies.

Single-ship missions: 5 (all Siege)
Two-ship missions: 22 (18 Siege, 2 Single front, 1 Double front, 1 PvP)

Ship types used by Artemis: 14 Battleship, 12 Light cruiser, 1 Missile Cruiser

Drive types used by Artemis: 26 Warp, 1 Jump

Following stats are for the non-PVP missions:

Game results: 24 won, 2 sim stopped due to calling time on the game session

Mission duration: 11 to 44 minutes (average 24 minutes)
Difficulty levels: 2, 3(x4), 4(x8), 5(x7), 6(x4), 7(x2)

Best completion time at difficulty:

2: 37 minutes (training session)

3: 12 minutes

4: 11 minutes

5: 15 minutes

6: 23 minutes

7: both missions stopped due to time
